I'd have to say that everything was pretty non-stressful. We filed for a CR1 visa on Jan. 30th, it was approved that day and by the time we left my wife had all of her forms and an appointment for the 21st of March. We were prepared for the worst, with forms and evidence of our relationship/marriage, but they didn't even ask for pictures, etc. Just a few questions for me when filing and for her when interviewing.

Everyone at the Embassy was very friendly and relaxed. The interview was very easy. They only asked how we met and if Carlos was married. They didn't ask for additional proof of our relationship, etc.

The worst part was the wait. He got to the Embassy about 1:00 p.m., an hour early, and was at the Embassy until about 3:30.
