All went incredibly well. Got there around 7am and was out by 9am. The people were very friendly, apart from the security guards! lol
Interview itself was really quick!

It is true that it helps A LOT to be early and well organized!

Good luck to all with your interviews. and don't sweat it too much, it really isn't that bad at all!

We stayed at the Best Western Europa Hotel the night before and walked to the consulate, arriving around 7:15am. There was one woman there before us. We made small talk until a guard opened the door at 7:30am. He sent each person (or couple in our case) in at a time, collecting our passports and appointment letters, checking our appointment day, and then handing them back to us.

Once we went inside we were instructed to empty our pockets and put everything we had (including our coats) in a bin which went through an X-ray machine. I did not have a purse, but I did have a plastic accordion file with all my paperwork, which was fine. We went through the metal detector and were scanned with a wand. The guards were very friendly, asking how we were and joking about the cold weather. Then we were given a plastic letter "B" and an instruction sheet which was clipped onto our appointment letter and passports. We were instructed to go down a flight of stairs and have a se... read complete review

My fiance, my 15-years-old son and I arrived Montreal the day before, July 28th, from Toronto. Initially we were going to take the train, but Via Rail went to strike the weekend before and we had to buy bus tickets instead. At the end, the strike ended on Sunday! We decided to take the bus anyway.
We arrived 7 am to the consulate on July 29th. We were third in line. The door opened at 7:35. The guards were very nice and asked my fiance if he was my lawyer. When we said he was my fiance, he said "very well". We went trough check up, that took some time because we were three. We went trough the elevator and never had time to read the list of documents but was fine because the person that received the documents was very nice and asked which documents needed in a very orderly way. We went trough the documents, first mine and then my son's. He asked me if I had sole custody and I said that according with Mexican laws yes, but I brought a consent letter from his dad and he said that w... read complete review

Fact: I never did get a interview letter from Montreal and had it not of other here who told me to call I would never have known that my interview was two days latter.
A maddening experience of ever there was one, got to the consulate as everyone has and went through the security wand and folder check and then ent to wait for the elevator. On the 19th floor waited for my number to be called then went to the interview or document distribution room and came face to face with Debbie aka the biatch of Montreal who proceeded to request documents and I gave them to her sometime hesitantly until we were do and I was sent to wait for the next part of the process. when called it the second room was greeted by a young fellow ratherpleasant to talk with and answered his question and then he said I had to file a I-601 at wish I said a what and he explained it was for the conviction I had so I took the documents and left. When I got home I was pissed because with the I-601 I also had too hav... read complete review

Seems my review will sound similar to most post for Montreal.

My fiance and I arrived in line at 715, and we near the front of the line. At 730ish, the gaurd started to let everyone in. He doesn't talk much, but all you need handy is your interview letter and passport. Once inside, went through security, then off to wait for the elevator. Just a bit after 8, another gaurd came over and took us with the first group up to the processing floor. (we did not recieve a "letter" here as most have)

Out of the elevator we went in line, were given a check list and a number. Sat down and waited for our number to be called. Once called, we went up to the window and handed over all the info on the checklist. The lady was very nice to us and actually did joke with my fiance and I a lot about how organized I was. Then off to the cashier to pay our fee then back to take fingerprints. Then off to wait for interview.

We were called in to the small room and m... read complete review
