I got to the consulate around 6:15am, wanting to be the first person there. The next person didn't arrive until almost 7am. Around 7:30 they unlocked the door and let us inside. The greeter asked me if I had registered with DHL, which I replied yes. She looked at my appointment letter and highlighted my name on one list. She then went to the next list for DHL and said your name is not on the list and proceeded to give me a piece of paper to go outside of the consulate to call and get a Registration number. I knew I had printed off the confirmation page for DHL and was trying to look for it but she told me I needed to step outside and let the guard know once I found it. I found it quickly and the guard let me back inside. While I was looking they turned everyone away if they had a bag of any size with them. No bags whatsoever allowed. When I got downstairs there were about 10 people down there already but the seat closest to the elevator on the right was still available. I sat there and... read complete review

Hey all! I wanted to share our experience, and most importantly POE as it appears that once people have had their interview they disappear from this site until the adjustment of status phase.
We had our interview in Montreal. We arrived at the consulate at 6:15am and were first in line. We stood to the left side of the doors as we'd read on this site. Around 6:30am more people started to arrive.
The doors opened at 7:30am. We were taken inside and did the initial securing scan, then were directed downstairs. We sat at the left side of the elevator and were the first ones in. We had read here that we needed to go right to the back as the elevator opens at the back side. Again, we were first out and first to get our number.
We were told to sit in the middle section and a little after 8am our number was called. We went to the window where we submitted my passport and my medical records. Then told to go sit down. About 10 minutes l... read complete review

We had our appointment yesterday and I am so happy to say that we were approved!! We had all of the paperwork that they requested, although I had forgotten to photocopy my birth certificate and she had to make a copy for me, she was not impressed by that. Other than that, we had everything they asked for and more. I was asked some basic questions about how we met, what type of work I do, do we have a wedding date in mind, then he asked Jeff about his job. He was very pleasant to talk to and made us both feel very comfortable. It was a very exciting moment for us. I appreciate all the advice I have received from people on this website and it was helpful to read of other's experiences before our interview day. Thank-you so very much.

I arrived at the embassy at around 6:45 am, there were already 4 people lined up ahead of me. Two were on the wrong side of the door, and were asked to move when the doors opened at 7:30. The guard checked our appointment letter before letting us in, and then we were directed up a short stairway into the foyer where they have security set up.
While I was waiting my turn at security, I watched as the guard behind me sent a few people away for having too large of bags, one was only the size of a portfolio, though I did notice she must have been allowed to cut in when she got rid of it, because they waved her through to the waiting area a lot sooner than I would have expected given that there were about 30 people in line behind me when the doors opened.
I was asked to step aside for additional scanning at security, only zippers in my boots and on my pants were metal so I'm not sure what set the machine off, but I wasn't the only one they did this with. ... read complete review
