My experience with my interview has been no different than many others. It was very simple, but very nerve wracking! I was the second in line, just behind a fellow Visa Journey forum user! I arrived around 6:40am and the whole thing was done at about 8:40am. It was very calming to meet and talk to the others in line.

They take your passport and confirmation letter right at the door, and you go through to security. Then down the stairs and wait for the elevator. Going up the elevator seemed like the longest and most awkward elevator ride of my life! Arrived at the 19th floor, got my ticket and received C3! They did call the numbers in order this time around. They nearly immediately called three of us up, and they asked for the birth certificate, police certificate and copies of my passport. In my case, there was some stickies on my previous submission with notes on them. I could read that it said, "why does recipient want permanent resident card mailed to a different add... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Journey
We started our journey in February 2012 for our CR-1 Visa. We met on Chemistry dot com a year ago this month. Eight months after starting this process and we are finally approved. Because this is a CR-1 we must have our interview performed in Montreal. We were given our Interview Date on September 17th and it was scheduled for October 9th. Before we could go to the interview we still needed to get the medical exam performed. We decided to go early to Montreal, get the exam, and make a honeymoon out of it. Montreal is an awesome place, but very expensive.

The Medical Exam
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Centre-Ville. A very nice hotel and I give it a 5 star rating. It is located just one block east of the MediSys facility and about a 10 minute walk north of the Embassy. It has a Pool, Spa, and Gym which we used daily.

Out medical exam was scheduled for Oct 2nd.

Once you enter the MediSys building from the She... read complete review

Process was similar to what previous reviewers have written. My fiancé and I got there a few minutes after 7am and were third in line. We stayed at the Westin, which was less than a 10 minute walk over. We only had a folder of our documents, and wallet and hotel keys in our pockets. Multiple signs clearly state no cell phones or electronics of any kind, food, backpacks or large purses, or liquids. The woman after us had a small-ish purse, and she was fine, but another woman who came later had a medium-sized purse, and I noticed she showed up a half hour later with no purse.

When we were waiting outside was exactly the same time construction workers started tearing up the road for repaving, so there was asphalt being spewed into the air, and foul smelling dust, along with half a dozen trucks backing up and down the road. Be glad you won't have this experience!

Shortly after 7:30 security let us in, and we gave the attendant at the door our ... read complete review

Arrive early as the wait times get long. Don't stress, it was a fairly simple and friendly process.

Arrived at the Consulate at 7:00 am., there were two people already inline. At 7:30 the guards came and opened the doors. You are allowed in one at time where you show your confirmation letter and passport . Your loomis tracking number is then written on a sticker and placed on the back of your passport. You then go through security screening and are told to go down stairs and sit in the waiting area. When enough people have gathered there, the security guard comes and escorts you in the elevator and send you to the 14th floor. The back of the elevator doors open. You will then head to the left to the first counter where she will ask for your payment confirmation and passport, she will hand you to tickets. They called our numbers in order. So C1 went to window one. etc... I was C3 i was asked for my Affidavit of Support, original birth certificate, police certificate, letter or intent to marry, passport photos and a my passport and she took my fingerprints She then told me to ha... read complete review
