interview was Feb 27 2015
arrived at 745am
inside the inner door - checked in with receptionist and showed her the confirmation of loomis registration, passed her review and lined up for the security check.
through security and in the waiting room at 755am

missed the first elevator up, was first on the second elevator. joined the queue for the receptionist, she reviewed my documents and then i sat down to wait for my number to be called.

930am - called to first window to submit documents. told to sit back down and wait some more
1030am - called up for the interview

interview questions: when, how did we meet; have either been married before; where do we plan to live...no surprises. he passed me the welcome to US letter after about 5-10min.

overall, the interview was just like the rest of the process: hurry up and wait. We are still amazed that it took almost two years and 5hour flight to montreal f... read complete review

This is my first post on VJ. To be honest I haven't had much of a need to post as there are so many awesome people on here who have already posted answers to all of my questions on almost every topic you can think of! Finding this community was the best thing that happened (other than being approved!) through the immigration process.

I finally have a moment to submit my review of my interview at the Montreal consulate. It was actually on February 26th but it has just been so crazy since then I didn't have a chance until now.

My interview was scheduled on Thursday, February 26th. I had to fly out from Vancouver so I booked my trip with a couple of extra days. Being with the kind of weather they are having over on the East coast I wanted to be sure I was safe.

I booked my trip using Expedia, it was easy and ended up saving a couple hundred dollars so I can't complain. I stayed at Le Square Phillips, about a two minute walk from the consulate... read complete review

I had my interview today and my visa was approved! After two years of stress and constantly trying to practice unachievable patience, my nerves are FINALLY calm. Here is my experience, hope it helps. I have very mixed feelings about the result of the interview...read on and you will understand....what are the odds that this would happen!!!

I will start by saying that I was SO nervous, more nervous than I remember ever being. The day before my interview, my mind was racing with a million things I felt I needed to do to prepare. I followed the suggestions on "Ideas on how to organize your interview documents" and had a total of six (6) folders with me: AOS; Proof of Relationship; Proof of Marriage (photos etc); Appt Letter, Loomis confirmation; Birth/Marriage/Police certificate copies; and DS260 confirmation. I also brought my wedding album. I had SO much proof with me, and guess what they asked to look at.....nothing! (Well nothing "additional", they looked at my appt let... read complete review

The counselor spoke to my DH about15 minutes & didn't quite believe our relationship because of our age difference, my financial status & also that we had only seen each other 3 times in the 4 years we've been together because of distance & money we live on opposite coasts. Buttttt then he called me to the interview window & I explained it all to him, answered his questions & made him understand why he had doubts.....most people do with is lol. He was just being jerk to everyone it turns out, haha. Hopefully others who get the short dude with brown hair, glasses & a beard have a better time than us. Everything else everyone else has stated is accurate. All the other people including security were wonderful to us!!!
