I'll try my best to remember everything including times and I'll make this as simple as I can and try to give enough useful information as possible
I live near London Ontario Canada, so I rented a car from our local Enterprise to drive to Montreal, QC.
For those not familiar with Quebec at all, the traffic is terrible and the drivers are rude and DANGEROUS. If you can, AVOID driving in this area and make use of public transit and taxi services instead. They do have metro, bus and train services throughout the city. This will make things less stressful. Also do try to practice a few basic french words. It's very hard if you get lost to find English speaking Canadians. The signs are the same color and shape but we aware and alert. Duel English/French signs are VERY rare. It's like going to a different Country.
I picked up my wife at YUL (Montreal International Airport) on the 24th of September. We stayed at the Days Inn and Suites ... read complete review

apt 10:30, showed up 10:00am, being early made it quick 1.5hrs only
walk up to guard, show passport, DS 160, photos,
checked in cellphone. I only came with documents and phone.
Got taken up to 20th floor by security, and told to go to window B. I waited for 1 person in front of me, then the officer asked for my documents (passport, photos, police report, birth certificate & photocopies of bc, afidavit of support, intent to marry petitioner (I added the note $$ from my fiancee's work too even though they didn't ask)
waited in room for probably 30-45 mins, then got called up for interview
Interviewer asked me to describe how we met, and the circumstance of our relationship, then he asked questions while I was going over the story. I kept my story pretty to the point and in line with what I had wrote before for circumstance of meeting.
He asked is my fiancee could support me and I said yes and said how much she makes. He then asked if she gets ... read complete review

The consulate in Montreal is made up of friendly staff who are more than happy to help answer any questions you may have about the process. Unfortunately, I forgot my appointment letter the day of, but they were very accommodating and told me not to worry (they could probably tell I was freaking out). My interview was quick and it was easy to navigate in the building. The greeter was fluent both in English and French and worked very efficiently to get everyone where they needed to be

Overall smooth procedure, as it is explained.
One thing for immigrant visa, don't stress over arriving too early. You will be waiting in same line as non-immigrant visa. But one make sure you do get appointment number before you even pass the security for immigrant visa. It's possible they forget to give you, since most of the people in line would be for non-immigrant visas.
Whatever number you would get, chances are odd numbers will be called by window 1, even numbers would be called by window 2. Don't stress too much if even numbers are going too fast or odd numbers are going super fast.
You will have finger prints taken there.
Once you are cleared from there and submitted the documents, you would have to wait, until you are called from Window 7. That's where you take some oath.

Super easy - just show up with the right paperwork and answer easy questions. They didn't even look at my relationship evidence, and the whole process took about two hours. No worries.
