My interview and Medical was in Montreal Canada.
First off I stayed in the Square Phillips hotel, its the perfect location, the Medysis is not too far of a walk, and the consulate is directly behind it, about a 3 to 4 minute walk literally around the corner.
My medical was fast...I was in and out in about a hour. You go in to the building on the 11th floor I believe, and wait in line to be called to counter. Staff is very nice. They take your vaccine list, or make a copy, and need to see your consulate letters. Then they give you a form to fill out. I got called in for weight and blood work, eyetests very nice girl took those.
Then back to wait room and then called in 10 minutes for x rays (dont wear necklaces if you dont want to take them off and risk loosing them) after xrsy they give u a paper for the girls at counter.
Then back to lobby..I finished filling out my forms and gave the receptionist my x ray slip of paper and form I was filling out. ... read complete review

The experience was not all at all what I expected!
My appointment was at 7:40 am on a tuesday and my Fiance went with me. We stayed in the Days Inn Mtl east motel/hotel which without traffic is about 20 or so min away from the consulate. We left at 6:30 am and it took an hour to get there on the interstate because the traffic was crazy!
We parked on the side of the road, payed for 2 hours of parking. Left our cell phones and all bags in the vehicle and carried all our documents inside. This was helpful because the officers gave sh*t to every person who brought in a bag. So our appt was at 7:40 am and we got to the consulate 7:40 am even though we were SUPPOSE to be there 20 min before our appointment date - oh well.
Its like a dmv... they give K1 visa people a number and you sit and wait until you are called.
The fist lady I spoke to after my number was called only wanted to see me (I had already told my fiance not to come up with me until I ... read complete review

We first submitted our application September of last year. My interview was last week, over a year later.
Interview was scheduled for 8 a.m, I arrived at the consulate at 7:30 am. A line had formed outside (those of you interviewing in colder weather should note this). Security allowed people to enter the building one at a time. Those with back packs and helmets were turned away and instructed to look for a public locker. One person got very huffy over this and claimed that those items were not listed. Do yourself a favour - read the instructions carefully and visit the websites they instruct you to visit. Forbidden items are listed and there is no reason to put yourself in a position where you will get turned away. I brought my documents in large envelopes and transported them in a plastic bag. I had a small purse with me for my keys, wallet, bus pass and phone. They asked to see my loomis confirmation. They will keep your phone for you and give you a number so you can... read complete review

I know this is easier said than done but there is nothing to be nervous about at the interview itself. It really is the easiest part of the whole process.
I arrived to the consulate 30 minutes before my scheduled interview time. The security guards weren't mean at all and all I had to show them was my Packet 4 letter confirming the date and time of my appointment. Security took about 15 minutes because there was a line.
By the time I got to the 19th floor, I waited about an hour to be called to Window 1. The lady at this window was very sweet and asked for my:
- passport
- ticket number
- 2 passport photos
- packet 4 letter
- sealed medical examination envelope
- birth certificate (original, she didn't need a photocopy)
- marriage certificate (original, she didn't need a photocopy)
- police certificates (original, she didn't need a photocopy)
- sponsor's affidavit of support (original... read complete review

My wife had her interview October 19th at 9am in Downtown Montreal.
We arrived at 8:30am and had to line up outside. I was allowed to go up with her.
We did the usual security check. They check in your keys and cellphone at the security desk and make you empty your pockets etc.
We had a binder with all the documents (copies and originals).
We went up to the 19th floor and waited in the middle section.
it took about 2 hours to get called to the 1st window.
They asked for AOS, the birth cert with translation, passport, canadian visa, police cert.
She went back and sat down for 20 mins or so and was called for the interview (I was allowed to stay)
we gave the interviewer all the documents he asked for, nothing additional needed like evidence of relationship, pictures or misc. I gave him my US passport.
He asked where I lived and worked and didn't ask any p... read complete review
