My mom just called me and said she got approved! javascript:emoticon('')

The whole experience was fairly quick, the interview with the consul was only 5 minutes. An idiot Bulgarian employee stressed her out before that, saying that my income is not enough to cover poverty level for a family of three. Absolute bull! That woman never took into account the fact that my husband`s income is added to mine to make it work! She never even suggested to mom if I had any joint sponsors or anything to inquire into the details, she just stated it`s not enough and that`s it, putting mom in a state of panic!!! I am so angry at those insensitive know-it-alls who think they are any kind of experts on immigration papers!!! Mom got very confused but gave her the newer paystubs and newer employment letter that I gave mom to show to the consul that I was recently promoted and was making even more money. (Which was not even needed, since our income stands way over the 125... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

I had an interview for 14:00. Showed up at 13:45 and they let me in after looking at my passport. Went through security and had to leave my phone with them then I walked down to the building and checked with security there (they gave me a list with instructions how to organize my paperwork). I paid the fee at the cash desk and sat down to organize. After about 20 minutes they called me up to a desk and a bulgarian person asked me how we met and after that for all the paperwork in order one by one so he could inspect it. That took about 10 minutes and he gave me a dhl delivery slip to fill out and saod he will be back in 10. I waited and he gave me back a copy of it with a tracking number and asked for a photo album. Then told me to wait to be called for an interview. I waited about 20 minutes until I was up (with only 1 other k1 and 1 family that was already being intervied at another desk). I got asked how we met and then the lady lead the conversation to our next meeting, asked me wh... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Here's a summary of my interview experience at the US Embassy in Sofia.

I arrived half an hour earlier before the actual appointment time listed in the interview letter. The security let me in (they did not want to see the appointment letter, only checked my passport). I went through the same type of security inspection as the one done at an airport (I did not carry anything else with me except for a big extendable folder with docs, no cell, no tablet, etc.)

I waited exactly half an hour for the first part of the interview to take place. I was called at a window to present the original documents that were not previously submitted to NVC:
- Original Birth Certificate in Bulgarian + Translated in English and legalized
- Original Marriage Certificate (original, issued by the state of MA)
- Original Certificate of Clean Criminal Records in Bulgarian, Свидетелство ... read complete review

We were at the Embassy for around one and a half hours and most of it was waiting. The actual interview was conducted by a very nice and friendly lady who asked me 4- 5 questions, just relax and be honest. I was very nervous but she made me feel comfortable.

(written by Stefany. See also her review of the Greenberg Clinic here:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/578496-medical-in-greenberg-clinic-in-sofia-bulgaria-review/)

My interview was scheduled on the 7th of December 2015 at 14:00. In the Sofia embassy, the immigrant visas are scheduled in the afternoon.

I went there at 14:00 and the guard let me in, I passed security (it is the same as the airport security) they took my phone after I turned it off and gave me a number to get it back after my interview.

Then I went down the alley and entered the visa bulding, I paid the fee 265USD and I was told to wait for my documents to be taken. I sat down and then a lady came to me and handed me a document in which it said to arrange my documents in a specific order. The documents I brought were:
