My experience at Rio Consulate was really good. My interview was schedule for 7:20 am I got there around 6:40 am. When it was 7 am, some employees came out and started organizing the huge line of people waiting outside. I stopped one of them and said I had an interview for K1 Visa, he scanned my passport, wrote something on the ASC sticker, put a green plastic inside of my passport and told me to go inside.
After going through the security, a security guard saw the green thing inside my passport and told me go to the second floor. When I got there, another employee gave me a sheet containing the order that they wanted the documents and told me to organize it. After couple of minutes he called me back and checked everything. He told me to sit on the chairs right in front of the interview windows. After a while I was called to go in the first window, where another employee recheck all the documents and ask a few questions. When she was done, she handed me a sheet that talk... read complete review

Interview was scheduled for 7:20 am, arrived there at 6:45 am. I knew I didn't have to stay in line with the tourist visa applicants to I went straight to the main door with other K1 applicants. At 7 am, an employee started organizing the line and there was a line only for immigrant visas (K1 is processed in the IV section). They scanned our passports (the sticker that the ASC/CASV places on it) and asked if we had had our medical.
Then we were taken to the second floor, to a small room with chairs and interview booths. They gave us a sheet with the order we needed to organize the documents and called by name for a document triage first. They put our documents in a red transparent folder in order and tell us to sit in line. Then we are, one by one, called to a booth where another person checks all our documents, asks a few questions, and return originals/what isn't needed. Then they tell us to wait that the consul will call us by name for the interview.

Arrived early and there was already a long line. We were invited in more than an hour before our appointment. A new paper to arrange our docs was provides and then checked.
Seat for first counter
Second counter questions:
1) have you ever lived in USA? - no
2) how did we meet?
3) when did we start talking and how?
4) how many times did Fiancee come to brazil?
Is Fiancee here with you? - yes, I joined
Question for me? How many times did I come to brazil?
i need a copy of your divorce
You are approved.
RECOMMEND: Get there very early and have all docs orginized as the may not need some or ask for others.

My wife was scheduled for her interview at 7:20am on August 7th, of 2023. She had with her a copy of my passport with Brazil stamps (that it did not sound like they looked at), my US-based car insurance, an updated document with photos (1 or 2) photos per page with a list of time, date, where, and who was in the photo. And her old passport with her expired tourist visa. She entered at 7:01am she was the 4th of the non-tourist line to enter. The first 3 of the non-tourist people left at 8:09, and my wife left at 8:59am. She received a 221(g) because she had a brazil authenticated copy of my US divorce instead of the original (or certified copy) (working on that). She said all the tourist families with little children took priority.
As for the questions, just 3:
Has she had trouble with the police in either USA or Brazil?
If she worked while she in in USA?
And if she knew her tourist visa was expired and cannot be used anymore?
