PROS: We were approved!
CONS: We waited, and waited, and waited a lot... and watched people getting grilled in their interviews because the interview booth is exposed. It made me very nervous. They were not exactly organized.
But in the end, the whole process at the embassy was very simple and straightforward. If you have followed the guides and instructions from this forum, chances are that the interview process will be a mere formality.
The CO has asked me four questions:
1) When and how did you meet your husband?
2) What do you do for a living?
3) What does he do for a living?
4) Have you met his family?
And that's it. I was approved. My impression is that he just asked these questions for the sake of it, but that I was already approved from the documents review.
I will write a more thorough review in Portuguese with some tips. Feel free to send me a private message if you have qu... read complete review

We get to embassy 1 hour before our appointment, the officers at entrance have our names, we pass for security and go to the second floor. There we pass for the first guy, him check if we have all documents for interview. My device is check many times everything because have couples can't continue without the documents, this guy will give to you a form with simple questions, don't worry him will explain how to fill this, after we wait for the next officer.
The next officer ask for my name and check the documents the first guy check too, ask simples question like address, birth day, complete name, for the first time we look our package, I-129F, was very big with many notes. The officer check everything and say for we back to chairs and wait for the interview, during this time we listen everything the other couples say in the interview and if they are approved or not. Don't be nervous, every case is a case.
The next was the Consul, him say my name and we go ... read complete review

My Fiancé's interview went well as she and her 8 year old daughter attended together on October 6, 2015. The consulate told her at the interview she was approved and the VISA should arrive in the Passport in 8 to 10 business days.
I had read not to purchase airline tickets until the VISA is issued. But I found a great price nearly a month before the interview flying from the US to and their tickets to fly home with me 5 days later. I made sure I gave them 13 days past the interview date. But it did include two weekends which counting really only left 8 business days between her interview and our schedule departure for the United States.
I checked the online status at the state department on October 13, and again it indicated the visa status, "Ready"
I sent an email on October 13, inquiring about the courier tracking number I had not received. I called the consulate in Porto Alegre on October 13. Today October 14, I logged in a day before my US de... read complete review
