Beneficiary arrived alone early morning for the scheduled interview along with a complete copy of our I-129f documents and I-134 Affidavit of Support. The CO, looking through our paperwork, asked if we've met only once (we had proof showing that we've met on 6 separate occasions over 3 years in Brazil). My package was incredibly well organized, this leads me to believe that they will not have the time to sift through yours entirely.
The CO asked my fiance what she would like to do in the US for work, if she has ever been to the US before (no), and immediately after that question, he saw that she'd been denied a B-2 tourist visa twice before. The CO asked how many times she was denied and said it was 3; my fiance corrected him by saying she was denied only twice.
The CO asked what company I worked for and what my occupation was.
Side note on this last one: I have a very specific role in the world of IT but it's something that is difficult to explai... read complete review

We arrived at the consulate at 8:30AM, and were told to go to the front of the line for direct entrance. Both of us were able to enter the consulate for the interview process together. The room was on the 2nd level, and we just had to fill out a form for personal contact information and also organize the required documents. They reviewed these and then gave us back documents we didn't need. Then we had to wait and see someone at the counter who prepared our documents for the consular. After that, we had to wait again to be officially seen. We both could go to the interview window. He stated that it was his first time seeing the new NVC CEAC online documents and that it made it really easy. We only had two questions in regards to how many times my spouse had been in the US and for how long, as well as a question about my previous employer. Then he said it would take 2 weeks, however since we had a simple case then we should receive the passport back within a couple of days by his estim... read complete review

My fiancé got at the embassy an hour before his interview (interview at 9:20, got there around 8:15). The embassy guard allowed him to go in early, but before going in he had to leave his backpack and cellphone with the people in front of the embassy... They come to you and charge 30 reais to keep your stuff.
After going in he went to the first floor and was given a piece of paper with information of the order he should put the documents. The paper didn't say anything about relationship proof. After putting the documents in order, he waited at a chair and was called on one of the windows for a pre interview. The guy (Brazilian) was really nice and looked over all his documents and gave a few back, he also collected his fingerprints. He even joked a little. Then back to waiting.. After around an hour and half, he got called to talk to the consul.
We believe that because he had already lived in the US, the consul started the conversation in english, without asking if he ... read complete review

My parents had their interview today and had a great experience at RDJ consulate. Their appointment was scheduled for 9:20am and they arrived there around 8:30am. They had to wait their scheduled time in order to go inside of the consulate. The consulate staff were very friendly and willing to help anyone that had questions!
We had a friend accompanied my parents to the consulate to help them out with and she was allowed to go in with them. I was really surprised to hear the security guard allowed her in since she did not have an appointment. She just told the security guard that my parents needed her help with organizing their documents. Our friend helped my parents in all the steps, except during the brief interview with the consulate officer.
The famous Leonardo was there and was answering people's questions. My parents said he was very polite and patient. He gave my parents a form to complete with their and mine personal information ,and a list with ... read complete review
