I got my interview on may 30th, the process was super easy, there are two guys helping everyone to organize the papers and get in line to start the process. First you are called to a booth to have a documentation check, and in this part they keep your docs. Then you go back to the line and wait to be called by your name, I was asked a few questions, how we met, where we met, if we both have been to each other countries and if we had wedding plans. I had the 8am appointment, got there at 7:30, left at 9. Everyone was very polite and all the process was very easy. After 8 months waiting this was like a "what, it's done?" Moment.

Minha experiência foi muito satisfatória ao longo de todo o processo no consulado.
Após entrar no prédio fui muito bem recepcionada pelos funcionários que me deram todos os direcionamentos sobre o que fazer.
Cheguei antes do horário (entrevista às 8h, mas cheguei lá às 7:30), mas já permitiram a entrada. Fui para o segundo andar, chegando lá o "famoso" Alex explica todos os procedimentos de como preencher a ficha( apenas informações pessoas suas e do peticionário) e pede para que vc organize e entregue a ele os documentos NA ORDEM QUE ESTà ESCRITO NO PAPEL.
Feito isso o resto é muito tranquilo. Passei pela triagem dos documentos com uma funcionária muito simpática e comunicativa( o que ajudou a relaxar um pouco), e depois foi aguardar a entrevista.
Minha entrevista foi rápida, acredito que durou uns 5 minutos, e com apenas poucas perguntas (onde e quando conheci meu noivo/ quando começamo... read complete review

Well, the interview was held in Rio de Janeiro. Although I was very nervous, it was super fast. It was scheduled for 8:00 a.m. and there were five people in front of us. A pre-interview has been made (where they check your documentation and confirm your data and your fiancé's data) and respond if it's all right. They asked us to wait for the interview, we called again.
The consul was very nice and started the interview me for the first asking if I would like to do the interview in Portuguese or English. Second asking if my fiance spoke Portuguese. Third asking how we communicated, fourth asking how we met in person, fifth asking what our plans were for our marriage. After these five questions, she gave me my original birth certificate and the immunization card I will use in the US and said that we were approved and that I would be very welcome to the US when I got there.

Minha experiência foi muito boa. Minha entrevista estava marcada para o dia 29/05, porém como precisava realizar os exames médicos com o doutor Garrido, fui uma semana antes e fiquei hospedado no hotel atlântico business centro (recomendo, perto do consulado e cerca de 30 reais de uber até os exames/médico). Sexta-feira, alguns dias antes da entrevista, recebo um e-mail me remarcando para o dia seis de junho (devido a greve dos caminhoneiros). Como já me encontrava no Rio de Janeiro, e como seria um grande custo financeiro ir e voltar outra vez, compareci lá na terça-feira dia 29, e os funcionários muito compreensiveis entenderam meu caso e resolveram me atender (fui o único do dia acredito eu!). Cheguei lá as sete e meia da manhã (caminhada tranquila, duas quadras do hotel), e me informei com o guarda sobre a vista da fila para o visto K1 (é na lateral do prédio, prestar atenção para não ir na fila errada).
