Our interview was on February 5 and very similar to most others experience on here. Very friendly and helpful staff who work there.
Our interview was scheduled for 8:20 a.m. and we arrived at the consulate about 7:50 a.m. By then their were three queues with about twenty people in each one outside. We were told it would be a two to four our wait. She then found another consulate worker and let them know we were there for a K-1 interview and he scanned her and her daughters passports and we were allowed to enter right away. So, look for one of the workers with a yellow or orange vest on and let them know are there for a K-1 interview if you are not there before they open.
We were asked more questions than just the normal three or four that many others say. I believe this was because we were both previously married and children are involved. Her daughter and my two kids. All of the questions were very easy and basically information taken from the I-129f. ... read complete review

Our interview was on February 12 and it was a very simple and easy process. I was surprised at how many questions they asked us. It seemed that we were being interviewed by someone new and he had a supervisor standing right behind him watching and observing. They asked all of the basic questions you would expect, but he did question how we communicated if neither one of us speak the same language. We were prepared and I responded that I have learned quite a bit of Portuguese over the past 18 months and we are able to communicate well. When we do have a question, we do use a translator. I could hear them talking when he turned off their microphone, as we were being interviewed through the glass window. He was impressed that I understood the question he asked my fiancé’s daughter in Portuguese and he commented about that to the other officer that it was clear that I understood the question in Portuguese. I would estimate that they asked us approximately 20 questions, but all... read complete review

My wife's interview was extremely easy - 5 minutes, no hard questions, lots of smiles. I believe it helped that she chose to interview in English - others ahead spoke Portuguese, and had longer interviews.
You can do it! Think positive!
