Got there at 6:30 and there was 2 couples already waiting. As usual, a big lane for non-immigrant, and by 7:30, a lane of around 15 people for immigrant-v all of them married ones.
The consular officer told us to present only the docs that were not send to NVC - in my case Medical Exam. At 9 o´clock, I was called by another consular officer for present the missing docs, pics and original docs (Birth, Marriage, Police clearences).
* PS about this moment: He asked me if my husband address has changed in CA, and that was the right moment to tell him yes, and I gave them the new address.. he asked me to write on the DS 230 form. Then, he look at my pics and said I need to shot them again because my ears weren´t enough clear.. even after I showed him how small they were... In fact, he asked me to go out and take new ones with pen caps behind my ears... well, My interview went ok, the visa procedures are the same from previous reviews, just make sure you have allk the right docs in order and you should be fine..
arrived at consulate in Rio at 7:10am, interview took place at 10:10am, went to the room inside, waited for 45 min for consul to show up and interview was over in 5min..the questions were:
my name (the he left the room)
asked my name again after 10 mint
the reason that I was there..(I´m not sure why I was there)
my age
my fiance´s age
her name
gave me the forms to sign and akes me to raise my right hand and swear i´m telling the trugh
then, asked how I met my fiance and why I wanna marry her (at this point, when I was explaining the journey, he wasn´t even paying attention, he was writing stuud down on a paper0)
When i finished,he asked if I had proof of relationship

My fiancee and I got to the consulate around 7:00 am. There were about four people ahead of us. They started letting people in around 7:30 checking off names from a list to make sure they had their appointment that day. Once in, we passed throug a security check point and were directed to the second floor where the K1 visa interviews take place.
Once upstairs, there are three steps to the visa interview process.
1) First a lady calls the applicants by order of arrival to ensure that they have all the required documents and that they are place in the correct order. She was friendly and informative. The major issue people had at that point was that they had the wrong police certificates. That is, that they had requested it from the justice department and it was supposed to be from the police department. In our case, we had the right one from the secretaria de seguranca publica.
