Well... besides the process of the physical entry in the consulate building that was in my opinion excessively demanding, the interview was smooth. We had to wait about two and a half hours. We went together to the boot, we had to speak with an intercom since there was a overly thick glass separating us from the officer.
He asked us only two questions:
Where did you meet? How long ago did you meet?
Good Luck...
And it was done!

Waited all morning and early afternoon for my interview. We interviewed for about 30 minutes. He had my packet in front of me, but chose to speak directly to me and asked me questions like "How does my finance react when he gets frustrated?" or "What do you love about him?"
Many of my friends were nervous but I passed and received my entry visa that day. I am very happy!!

Things were very smooth. I spent the night at the "Aeroporto Othon Hotel": 3 stars, basic and good enough for me, breakfast at 6am was important, and it is very close to the consulate, so I went walking in the morning to the consulate. Things were very smooth to me, placed the documents in order, talked to the person on the window about the docs, took finger prints and to the interview. Until then, everyone are brazilian employers, all of them were very polite to me, and helpful to all I could see that needed assistance. I was the first to be interviewed, I believe it is because I had no problems at all with my documents. But those who had forgotten something were given blank forms to fill, or could go outside to take pictures, nothing bad. The interview started in portuguese, and he took a while to ask about my english and then we spoke in english. The questions were about me and my fiance, my family, my trip to meet him and the fact I spent 6 months with him. Very quick, though I was... read complete review

This review is about the experience reported by my fiancee -- not myself. The interview was in early November. Since I\\\'m the one that have been using this site (which has been extremely helpful), I thought that this can help.
She is not from Rio, thus she took a bus that left her city at midnight, arriving in Rio at 5 or 6 in the morning. From the bus station to entering the consulate was a straight forward process. There was a lady with a clipboard checking people\\\'s name off (she didn\\\'t ask for the letter from the consulate, though my fiancee had the letter).
It was the IV (Immigrant Visa) unit that processed her case.
Apparently most of the cases on that day was for fiancee (not for greencard cases). She was blessed enough to be the third one to be called. The previous 2 people were in their 20\\\'s, and their sponsors were similar age.
The interview was quick -- similar to those posted in this forum. I had prepared a lot of docume... read complete review

We arrived an hour early. There were about 50 people already in line. There was a lot of confusion about where we needed to go (upstairs). There were a few that used lawyers that were not prepared for their interview and were turned away. We followed the advice of VisaJourney and were totally prepared. The second person verified our paperwork and noted that I had not included my 2008 taxes (not completed at the time). She said that I would need to bring them in after the interview.
While waiting for the last interview, one women was asked to retake her photos because because her ears were not showing. One man did not bring money to pay the fee and decided to argue with the receptionist stating that he should be exempt. Another woman started expressing her frustration loudly.
After about a 1/2 hour, we were called to the final interview. The person interviewing us asked my fiancee questions about my family, my kids, birthdays, learning English, ho... read complete review
