We had interview appointment at 1.30, but were not done until 3 PM. 95% of that time was just waiting, as immigrant visa interviews are done in the same place as all non-immigrant visa interviews. After getting through the security check , my mom (I was not allowed to enter the building) waited 45 min to submit her papers (passport, photo, and one other document), for a 2 min conversation. Then she waited another 45 min to speak to the consul ~ another 2 min. There is a room for interviews, but they are still done at the counter, where everyone else waiting can hear the conversation. I had my interview scheduled for August 26 at 1.30 pm. On the day of the interview we received a call from the embassy asking to move the interview to tomorrow. We arrived to the consulate. I was so nervous. The security guy said only the applicant can go inside so my fiance had to wait outside.
When I came in, I gave them my papers they asking for, then they took my fingerprints. The consul was very nice to me. She asked if we can do the interview in English. I sad yes, so I gave the oath, and then she asked me few questions like when I last saw my fiance, when did we meet, do you plan to get married, since when is you fiance in the USA, did you meet his family, what does he do for a living. She smiled and said your visa is approved. Come in three days to pick up your passport. I was so happy. Finally, I get to be with my love
