Was overall a very good experience!

Travelled on a 6:00am flight from Melb to Sydney to be at a 9:00am interview.
had a friend in Sydney who dropped me off at the consulate and made my way up all the different elevators. After going through security and being shot up to one of the top levels. I took a ticket and before I could sit down was called to one of the booths. I handed the lady (she was very nice) my passport photos, passport, aus post receipt and express bag and she asked when I was planning to fly to USA, which my answer was asap. She then told me that everything seemed to be in order and that if my interview goes well I would be approved. So I sat down again for around 10-15 minutes and chatted to the girl next to me who also was there for her K1 interview (forgot her name :S sorry). I was then called to the window where a nice guy got me to sign a form saying I would get married within 90 days of entering USA and also that everything I say in the inter... read complete review

Where to begin...my appointment time was 8am...so i got there at seven am because sitting at the hotel was making me more nervous, lol (stayed at the mercure, little more than walking distance but i would highly recommend). I sat downstairs until about 7:40 and then i went up to level 10 to go through security. after i handed over my bag i got told to go sit down until i was allowed up to level 59. after a few minutes i was allowed up, when i got to the floor they checked my passport again and then let me through the next door and told me to take an immigrant ticket. i was the only one up there so i barely sat down before i got called up to the first window. The lady was very nice she took my passport, my express envelope, visa fee receipt, and the other couple documents they were missing before and then i went and sat down again. i probably sat down for about ten minutes (felt like more). before i got called up i could see the consular officer going through my file... read complete review

I would firstly like to start off with saying that the interview is ALOT more pleasant than you would originally think. The staff are friendly and as long as you have your paperwork done correctly you will be fine!

I had my interview at the SYD consulate at 10 am in the MLC centre. I went to level 10 (consulate reception and security area) as it said on the appointment letter and waited in line to get my passport checked. As you wait in line there's this sign that tells you to have the following documents in order for the reception guy to check it. It was just your payment, passport, postage bag, and appointment letter. So I stood in line awkwardly trying to get my stuff out of my folder. So if you can help it, have these out before you enter the line.

While I was waiting there was actually another women who looked as nervous as me so we just started general chit chat and she was actually from VJ! so that was really cool!! So another ti... read complete review

My interview at Sydney was fairly straight forward.
I arrived at 9.30am for my 10am interview, but the consulate must have been pretty busy because I was asked to come back at 10am.
After going back at 10am and clearing security I was allowed up to the Consulate where I took a number and waited to be called up to the window. I only had to wait around 5mins to be called up.
I was asked to hand them my passport, my 3kg Platinum Envelope and my medical results. I waited while the lady checked over my file containing all documents and forms that we had submitted previously. She then scanned my fingerprints. She told me all my documents looked to be in order and asked me when I was planning on travelling. I was then asked to sit back down and wait to be called again for the interview.
I only waited about another 5mins before being called up to a different window for the interview. I was asked the following questions:
Is this my first marriage?
Is ... read complete review

I was up for a pleasant surprise when I went for the visa interview. Questions asked:
1 how long u knew your wife
2 first marriage?
3 mode of contact while wife overseas
4 any kids
5 my (beneficiary) profession
6 did you (me) visit US before
7 what relation is the secondary AOS to wife

Interview finished even before I knew. Loved it
