I attended the interview with my husband. We arrived at about 7:55am and was told by this security guard that I could not enter the embassy with my husband and would have to wait outside (which is a complete lie) a woman overheard my husband talking to the man and told me to go to the receptionist with my husband and tell her that I was the petioner and we would be allowed in. Overall the experience at the US/Algiers embassy was quite pleasant. I happened to be visiting my fiance in Algeria around the date of the interview so I was able to attend it with him. When we arrived, there were approximately twenty other people waiting outside (which is what we had to do until they allowed us in). When they started allowing people to go in, they checked my fiances papers and verified his appointment. We asked if I could go inside the embassy with him, but they said I needed an appointment also (which didn't make sense). I was told to wait a few minutes outside while my fiance was admitted inside. A bit of a hassle at the moment but most likely because I was eager for the interview. Once I was allowed inside and met up with my fiance at the waiting room, we waited some more. Our name was called to turn in the forms/evidence for the interview and then sent to another window to pay. About twenty minutes later we had the actual interview. The interview itself was quite ... read complete review
