Sounds like a ROC case. Send a copy of death certificate (order two dozen or more, you’ll need it for various businesses to close accounts) to the service center that has your case (from the first receipt notice).

  2. I'm asking this for someone whose spouse died from covid complication.  Adjustment of status was filed back in January 2021 and received an NOA  extension up to 24 months while waiting for Biometric appointment. (no appt, yet)

The US spouse died from covid a few days ago. Family's making arrangement for funeral service.

I don't want to sound insensitive. But I don't know what to do while the application is at USCIS., or what action will be taken by UCSIS.  Obviously, we have to send a copy of the death certificate  to USCIS.

If anyone can point to an FAQ or give me some insight, i would really appreciate it.

    thank you..

  3. I'm not sure if im in the correct forum. If not, admin please move me to the correct topic.

My mother in-laws is here in  k3 family base visa ( arrived in April 2019). The USPS sent the GC but it was returned, exactly don't know why. We only found out about this after a visit to the local USICS office this month.

I've also called them the directly, long wait but finally got through. Explain the issue again. So they submited a case inquiry and told us to wait for 30 days for a respond. As far as i know it, there are no RFE or any hiccup, other not being delivered.

Ok so here is the question, i heard that they now are hand delivering GC directly to your door. And that if you're not home,  i'm assuming  they (USPS) wont leave any indication of an attempt delivery. That you have to visit the local USICS, sign some paper, and wait for delivery again. Has anybody experience this?

sorry for the long text, and thank you for the advice,

  4. My spouse parents are here in the US. The Father received his Green Card, but the mother is waiting for hers'.

The mother been in the country about 6 months now, but she's want to go back for a few months to take care some of her business.

Can she travel back to her home country while waiting for the green card?

as far as we know it, there isn't an issue with her green card.

Thank you for your input.. i really appreciated it.

  7. Does anybody know how to bypass tier 1.  every time i call them, i get the same answer i already know. they would transfer me to tier two for a call back. I get the call back, and put on hold, and the phone goes silent.

I'm trying to follow up on case ,a case-i-130 that I've already sent in an RFE. but USICS have not responded and its out of the normal processing time.

  8. I went to the DMV twice trying to get an ID card. The first time i forgot to bring proof of resident and my i-94. Well the second time, i brought those, along with my ss#.

Well the DMV said that since my i-94 will expired in less than 60 days, they can't issue me an ID card.

Background. K1 fiance visa. Yes married in the US last month.

I just want an ID card, why is it difficult? anybody know what to do?

Why is it easy for people entering the country illegally to get a driver license and work permit. Here i am, doing the right, waiting in line, paying the fee, going through interview and playing the wait game. this is(removed). All i want for now is a ID card, so i don't have to carry my passport around.
