I called NVC this Morning and they confirmed that they received my case April 4, 2016 which is today, the lady said they normally take 42 days to assign a case number is this true?

I just check the website.

Because I think I have to wait till summer

For the AOS fee, we've all been in the same situation: give it a full business day before it becomes active.

From yesterday I try to pay AOS fee, but I can`t.

Quick question here: my husband is currently staying at a friend's, but he found a house for us, and he'll be signing the lease today. However he's not gonna move there before the end of the month.

So my question is: in DS230, is it OK if I give his friend's address in "address you intend to live", "address you want to receive your green card", and "address where you spouse lives", and then provide an updated DS230 form at interview with our home address, since he'll have moved there by then? Will they use the updated address to send the GC and SS card?

You can update your address for GC and SS card at POE.

I got my case number just few minutes ago via AVR.

I'm a little concerned with the following:

Does this mean I have to go get additional copies of prior divorce and of our marriage license and cert again even though I just did it for NVC a few weeks ago?

I still dont have a case number. I just called today. And the NVC received date has changed from Dec 19th to Dec 23rd. Its weird. I dont know anymore whos telling the truth? I have spoken to a number of operators last week telling me that they got it Dec 19th. Anyway, what matters is that they received my case. I'll just have to wait for a few more days or weeks perhaps.

I also called today and still without case number. And 1 time operator told me about date they receive my documents from USCIS Dec 23, but more than 10 times they said received date is Dec 19.

I just spoke to an NVC operator, and she told me that since my file was received Dec. 27th, I should wait until January 24th to call back for a case number. I have been trying to be sane about the number of times I call NVC (automated system every 2 or 3 days, operator only twice since my NOA2 on Dec. 17), but waiting until the 24th to call back seems a bit long...should I listen to her, call in another week, or keep trying every couple days?

What's funny is they were telling us the case was received on Dec 12, now they tell us to count 20 business days from Dec 16 before we start sending out flares. I'm seriously starting to hate them.

I think only Birth Certificate.
