Dear /my friends in vj i got the attached letter from the embassy with my passport after AP in over 1 month after interview dated august...etc just wonder what does the consular need more !!!we presnted pictures,western union ,vaction bills ,phone records and he is my kids dad ,they kept my kids passports and send mine with this letter ,pls share we all in ###### mood and very sad and what procedures if anyone pass with somthing like this pls share and tell me what to do ,my husband already contact the lawyer and he said he will send email asking why as he said they must say why ,very strange right i forget to tell u also that me an dmy husband over 40 so what else they need !!!!!!!!.

wow this is heart breaking what happen in the interview ? something must have happend to raise a flag or something !!!!!! do u remmber where u married just by court or relgious married too ?

we just need to pray hard that they do not close the embassy again tomorrow with all the ###### that is happening in egypt and esrael .

The case you are commenting on I think is mine?? Everything in our process went very smooth hamdullah. His interview went great only a few questions and we had lots of evidence and I have been to visit him a total of 8 times in 2 years. They took his passport and said we will send the visa and pay DHL when they deliver it. I think AP comes after the interview and this seems to be common in Cairo.... I am reading a lot of post where people are told congrats you passed and then are put in processing and don't find out till they call. It's very sad. We are from the same ethnic background, religion, lots of evidence, everything.... just a normal couple in their 20's who got married. Nothing unusual. The immigration office will only tell you that you are in processing and you just have to wait. They will not tell you what it is or why they are doing it but that you have to wait. I even emailed the embassy several times and they email you back only saying your in AP and they can't predict how long it will take. They never answer my questions. It's really wrong what they do to such normal couples. inshaallah its all over soon and they issue everyone's visas who have been frustrated and waiting patiently for a long time. God grant us patience.

Can you tell me how to check how many interviews are scheduled for Cairo, please? My husband is waiting for an interview since August; the file @NVC has been completed on Aug8th,2010. Please can you let me know how i can check to see for the names of the scheduled interviews please? Where do i go to check this?

this is the link to check the interview schedule it goes by case # not by name , plus if ur case was completed in august u still have a while it takes up to 6 month now for the embassy to schedule an appointment people who were approved in april just got thier appointment to be done in october so hang in there u still have may/june and july before they get to august , i know it sucks but what can u do , sorry

well so far the cases that were completed in may 2011 do not have an appointment in october 2011 so if ur case was completed in september then maybe u will get ur interview in feb or march of 2012 unless they speed up for some reason but at least if u r lucky will be 4 month as it used to take before the revolution

i got the email 2day one hour ago, BUt i have a problem i want 2 delay the appointment one hour i cant reach their 7:30 am.. any one have an idea, can i call the embassy

hello friend , if im in ur position i WILL NOT mess with it u waited so long for this and u dont know if they have another avaiable appointment that day so leave it alone , what u can do go the night before spend the night in a hotel close by sleep good and go fresh and early in the morning and get it over with , thats my opnion but its up to u

Telling a lie to a government official in the course of them performing their duties is a crime; perhaps they don't know immediately, perhaps they never find out, but if they do, you're screwed. calm down man /woman u should not just wish something bad to somebody who is just asking a question ok, he is just like many of us here who wonders about things we r not angels and do not act like it never crossed ur mind to do something wrong to bring ur loved one sooner !!!!!!!!! plus if it is PEOPLE like him who ###### up the immgration system there is alot of armenians in USA who ###### up the medical and wellfair system getting benfits and scaming creditcards so lets not go there if u have a respectful answer then say it if not then keep ur rude judgmental comments and bad wishes to urself .

Hi Everyone. I just wanted to say I made it to Alex yesterday to visit my husband and inlaws during Ramadan. We will talk ALOT. We will go to marina, we will visit family everyday for first meal after fast. And mostly we will just love each other. I am so happy to be here. I love my family, the sea, the food and mostly the husband. And all the Donkeys on the street are too cute.

im a U.S citizen my wifwestill waiting for an interview after approving I-130 , we will have our first son next week if god will now my question is this do i have to fill this Consular report for birth abroad so my son can get his american passport or there is a faster way like can he get an egyption passport and then when my wife go for her interview she can ask to add him to her petition and get him a visa the reason im asking they want a lot of paper work and evidence to have this consular report so im looking for a faster way and then when he gets here i will start his paper work !!!! does anybody know ?

i feel bad for u guys in fact i lost hope that my wife will be here by xmas case was complete in july 13 , it just upsetting when u look at the interview schedule and 95% are from other countries and lottery visa , but u know what they r heartless people and they expect u to be the same i guess .

what u can try u can email the embassy and ask them to exbadite their case maybe they will do but it worth a try u won't lose anything

hello every body, it's my first time to post a comment over here, want to be a friend with all of you, one of my relative is a father of an American citizen who filed him a year ago, and his case is completed the third week of May, and till now they haven't got any email to indicate the date of the interview,each time they call the NVC, the operator tell them that it depends on the embassy here in Cairo, do you have any idea how long it takes to determine just a date? thanks a lot for your help,,,

its been taking longer than normal it was 3-4 month but now it can take up to 6 month for the interview they have a backlog from the time the embassy was closed on february thats what they told me .

what's happened to us embassy? there is no emails from NVC till Aug01st.. and there is no Update for US schedule,, why???? isn't enough one year since submitting I130 petiton, and USCIS error 7months waitting 4 approval NOA2..and then the blach hole because of embassy closing..it is not fear?

any body talk to NVC or embassy asking when they will update their schedule

This is my first marriage and I will have it translated here in the states officially at a certified translation office. Yes, it is the certificate with the two photos, etc...but it says my nationality is Egyptian since I did not use my US passport. I believe it is valid to use for the I-130, because clearly it is me. At least that's what my lawyer said.

they do not care what nationality u used for the marriage , u r a U.S/ egyption citizen translate ur marriage certificate and print the 1-130 application for CR1 visa ( supose visa ) u will submit a copy of ur american citizenship passport or naturlization certifcate plus the marriage cert in arabic and the translation of it after notarizing it will take like 5 month and then either they will approve it or they will ask u for more evidence to prove that she is ur wife in fact they ask to send them more evidence that she is ur wife ( and yes ur marriage certificate is not enough for the USCIS to be convinced that she is ur wife ) they need more evidence to show its an ongoing marriage realtioship like joint bank accounts lease contracts wedding pictures . DO NOT DO K1 VISA it will be denied .

Hi Kim, can I ask you a favor. Would you be willing to ask them to update the schedule again. I have myself and my husband but they didnt seem to take it into consideration. Looks like you had more luck then us.

i wrote an email last monday 7/25 and have not heard anything back from them i dont know what the hell this empolyees there get paid for?????? seriously something silly like this that should be up to date and it means alot to alot of people here and they can not keep it updated , sorry to sound upset but it is upseting to even look at july interview schedule to see 90% of are for diversity visa !!!!!???and 10% for all other visa's its is sick to put ldiversity people who r never been to U.S and have thier lifes going on egypt before seprated families ( wifes and husbands away from each other ) !!!!! who ever came up with this is ignorant and makes me wanna puke .

im sorry u guys feel this way i wish i can help i saw how bad all of u were waiting here but its U.S government we r dealing with , they do not have a solid pattern for people to follow maybe it was the 29th last month but that doesnt mean it has to be exactly in the 29 of each month , might take few days more or maybe less but u cant just stop ur life waiting for an email when u deal with immgration stuff. However it is still 1pm here so friday is not over yet but if not today maybe will be monday .

i will pray for all of u cause u guys been waiting for so long just stay strong and it will be done soon i know it was a long lonley race but we all c the light at the end of the tunnel now and we r getting close to it so do not lose your hope or power now cause we still need it .
