    Man, I'm getting stressed out over here.

    Just tried to do a e-request Check Inquiry, and I was told the receipt number doesn't match the form number. It's a I751... but when I check status, the receipt number brings up "CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED"

    What's a CRI89? It's not even a form number option.

    Edited: Okay, I see CRI89 is synonmous with I751, but how can I check the status with their online tool if it's not an option and my receipt number can't be match to the I751 option??

    To do the e-request check, you need to use the number on your NOA1, not your biometrics. I had the same issue.

    This was the response I got:

    "Our records show that your Form I-751 is currently pending adjudication. We regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date for your Form I-751. We apologize for the delay.

    We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience."

    Not helpful AT ALL lol!

    Thankfully, mine finally got approved. Hope that happens for you (and everyone else who is waiting) soon as well! I felt a bit of excitement when I saw the letter in my mailbox...didn't even care if it was an RFE (though I am thankful it wasn't!).

    Starting to worry now. I'm a VSC filer.

    My filing date was march 20 I did biometrics on april 25. I've had no RFP after 6 months had passed i called USCIS. They did a service request and the next day (Oct 8) I got an email saying my file was in transit to my local field office. Is it likely they have a problem with my application?

    I filed at the end of February (I am in the Feb. filers group) and had my biometrics at the end of March. After that I heard nothing from USCIS until a few days ago. I was starting to worry too, and was about to start making phone calls when all of a sudden I got a notice in the mail saying that my card was approved (then I got like, 3 emails stating my card was being ordered for production one right after the other lol!). Hopefully you will hear something soon too!

    I tried to submit an online request just now about my case. It is saying that my receipt number is not matching what is on file. Is the receipt number the application number starting in EAC? When I use that in the "Check my case status" tool on the USCIS site, it tells me "CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED". Why is it saying CR189? I used the EAC number on my Biometrics on the case status checker because the one on my NOA doesn't work.

    I am so confused and frustrated.

    Duh...I tried to submit a request again using the EAC number on my NOA. WHY I didn't think to do that in the first place is beyond me. It said to expect a reply by October 24th. Ugh. More waiting. Hopefully, I will get my card before then!

    i miss naniamo bars

    I made my own last week!! I was in Canada two weeks ago and was trying desperately to find nanimo mixes to take back with me with no luck. I guess they come out around Christmas? Anyway, I used a recipe I found online and they turned out excellent! Gave some to our neighbour who watches our cat when we go out of town and she LOVED them! Here is the recipe I used

    Hmmm interesting. We don't have CVS here so maybe that's why. I wonder if Rite-Aid would have it then. I'll have to check next time. I tend to just order things off Amazon lately!

    Yea it is definitely only there for the summer and is with the other summer bug repellant. We have the regular Benadryl itch sticks year round though.

    I also buy lots off Amazon. Yay for Prime! Sometimes it is just easier to wait for the two day deliery than to go out and actually get things.

    Also I have discovered something surprising this summer - as people have complained about bug bites I mention Afterbite and no one seems to know what it is. I explain and they look mystified. I looked it up on Amazon.com and it seems the most popular use is a cream for toddlers, but you can get the actual Afterbite. I was pretty surprised! Is it just this area that no one has heard of it in?

    The CVS I work at sells Afterbite. It is only seasonal though, and EVERYONE buys it as it never lasts on the shelves all that long.

    Haven't sent my RFE package in yet, will be this week though.

    I'm going to be traveling back home at the end of August ... do you think they'll give me issues coming back into the US with my GC + one year extension letter? This is assuming by some miracle that my case gets approved and I get a new card by the 26th, haha.

    If I explain that I got an RFE and I'm waiting for approval still, will they even understand?

    Also, do you get any sort of NOA when they receive an RFE package? Something to prove that the case is being worked on/still active ?

    I am from the February filers group but I check on this just thread as well because I am still waiting on my approval (I am with VSC).

    I travelled to Canada with my expired green card and extension letter and had absolutely no issue coming back across. I haven't had an RFE or anything (still hoping not to get one!). I came back on August 17. It was actually the easiest, fastest border crossing into the USA of my life. Though, I did cross by land. I am sure that as long as you have your card and letter with you, you will be fine even with the RFE.

    I had no luck with credit, until I got a JCP card. I have tried applying for a Visa, but keep getting denied. I am added to my husbands card, but don't think that is helping at all. I got my JCP card a few months back, and now that I am working steady full time, I am gonna apply again for another Visa and see what happens.

    When the new card arrives, do you have to sign for it? Or is it just like regular mail? I am going to be in Canada for a week in August and am kind of worried that it may get lost somehow. I guess if I have to sign for it, I could always let the post office know I am out of town and maybe expecting something that needs to be signed and ask them to hold it for me...

    It would be nice for it to arrive before my trip, which is in 2 weeks. I guess there is a chance that could happen, but who knows?
