Couple of additional questions, based on this:

1) The sheet 'Who is eligible for Naturalization' states that if I'm over 18 and have been here for 5 years (plus the moral standing, etc), I'm eligible. The sheet 'Document checklist' states that the other paperwork is required if I'm "applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a US citizen." Now, I am married to a US citizen, but I'm not applying on that basis. I'm applying because I've been here over 5 years & I qualify. If I had only been here 3 years, the other stuff would become necessary, is how I read it. I'll get all the other stuff together, if it's needed regardless, but to me that's not what it says.

2) What are ITRs?

I've been very bad about updating my information on here, but thought it was worth mentioning that I have my interview in Baltimore on Wednesday!!

I'll post my experience once it's done, and hopefully I'll be able to stop listening to that darn CD of questions in my car!!

I know that u bring the originals such as marriage licence, birth cert of child, and etc.

Did they also want to get hard certified copies of these evidences at the the interview? or they just want to see the originals?

I am asking so I can request in advance prior to the interview.

Sorry you had a bad experience at the postal service. When I did passports for my two young sons, there were no troubles but we let the clerk took the pictures there too for a charge of course.

We were out of there like 15 mins.

When do we receive the certificate in our hand? is it when right after the Oath? or when the certificate will be mailed to us later after the Oat Ceremony?

The reason I am asking is because there is a chance my wife is moving during the N-400 filing process.

woh. that IO must be a difficult person. anyway, did u and him have any children since 07? I have never encounter dthis even though me and my wife are filing on merit of marriage to a US citizenship not a 5-year continous residency. If you have children, you can bring in birth certificates just to prove you have a real marriage. This is what my wife will do when she goes to the interview. and that we have two children as proof.

by the way, I did not realize my wife have to provide evidences of marriage to me before sending out the N-400.

I just checked my USPC website and it says you package was received today . I am so happy just waiting fpr the notification letter from USCIS any Idea ?

Be patience, it takes time. also, you don't want to get a heart attack gettinfg to the interview.

From all ther filers, it takes anywhere from 4-5 months to complete USC process.

Hey is it just me or Bob is begining to sound just like Alan the red funnier with each post.LOL.

I had written quite an extensive report but when I hit spell check it all disappeared as I had not yet installed a spell checker, so here goes, again.

Nothing in the correspondence that we received told us that we had to go together, even though we planned to. We arrived early at the Tampa field office and handed in our interview letter, we were sent to a nearby trailer to wait till our name was called. Once called we both went in and an officer took my wife into the back for an interview. Twenty minutes later he came out and called me back. He told me that he had some questions for me but first he had to swear me in. I was then asked, 1) Have you and your wife been together since marriage? 2) Is there any pending divorce?

I answered yes and no respectively. He then asked my wife for any documents that proves that we were living as a married couple, my wife produced the following; Property taxes, car insurance, bank account, employee health benefits cards, a utility bill, all showing both names.

He then said "Congratulations" you have passed, filled out a form and gave it to us while telling us that an oath ceremony would be scheduled in early January, The whole process took about half an hour.

The IO was suspicious as my wife was showing signs of nervousness. He was friendly enough.

Thanks for the information! I guess I just have to be patient. Like everyone else I just want things to move along. Maybe USCIS also gets "backed up" when there are holidays, like Veterans Day and Thanksgiving.

I just want to know from my fellow nov filers, If its safe to travel abroad at this stage where im right now( after done with FP) as i want to spend Christmas with my Parrents OR this will make any issues in N400 process. My stay will be only 2 weeks out of US.

I don't think it will be a problem since you only stay 2 weeks but common sense tell you you oughta stay put in case you can' t get in time for the interview. IN case u get stuck in your own home country.

This is just me and my wife. MY wife is filing for citizenship here.

I have been checking other September/October filers...and it seems there is no such thing as "usual"...

Some people took only about a week after their FP to get their interview letters while others took like 1.5 month.

Due to the difference, I decided to stop driving myself insane with trying to figure out the usual time or when I should be expecting the interview letter... or even try to check the status ever hour. LOL

I check once a day maybe on the uscis website to see if the status has been updated although I heard that it didn't get updated for some people...

I know some of Sept filers have started being interviewed...

So I'm just waiting... **whistle**

but I know the curiosity.

Totally agree with you. I actually had my N-400 application notified via text and email. but after the fact, I found it to be useless because a couple of days early or late will not kill us but put more stress on us.

also, this reminde me of another poster on here asking about weekend delivery.

I didn't have to do biometrics. When I opened the first service request (to see where my biometrics letter was) I was told that USCIS are using my fingerprints from when I filed my I-751 the previous year.

Please put a timeline in your signature from all your previous filings so people know when you have certains steps done, ect like fp etc.

You should stay with Us Nov filers since I sent my N-400 for my wife just very close to the last few days of Nov.

I am a bit confused with the residency date requirement. I am filing

my wifes citizenship, does the residency date start with the resident since from the

2 yr green card or the 10 yr permanent card that arrived after

The 2 yr card states resident since 1/28/08

The 10 yr card states resident since 11/28/08

Any help you can give is appreciated.

It will be the 10-yr since IO will based their review and this GC will be the lastest.
