When I check the status of my OCI application to update OCI as I have a new passport now, I get this message
Your application has been rejected by competent authorities with remarks : RE-UPLOAD PHOTO SIGNATURE /WHITE BACKGROUND

When I try to re-upload the image it keep giving same message ( Your application has been rejected by competent authorities with remarks : RE-UPLOAD PHOTO SIGNATURE /WHITE BACKGROUND) . Do I need to submit a fresh application?

Appreciate kind advise.

Don't think there is any issue that your passport expired...

Thanks for sharing your experience @Akipog. Yes I have OCI (U Visa Sticker pasted in old passport) . I have the OCI booklet other than that . This OCI Booklet also have the Old passport mentioned as it was issued at the time when that passport was good.

Need some help
For past 3+ years I am in India. I have been an OCI card holder since 2010. Presently I am 50 Years old. I have renewed my USA passport as the earlier passport expired. I have OCI details (Visa Page) attached to my earlier passport that is expired now.

Today I applied (Under Miscellaneous Service) to update the passport particulars.

Question(s)

(1) I need to travel to US, can I still travel while my online application is under processing

(2) Another thing I want to know my USA passport was expired on Jan-08-2020 and passport renewed on May-07-2021, hence a gap of around 1+ year. Do I need to fill any form to regularize this?

I have OCI since 2008. As my US passport expired I  applied for US passport renewal. USA passport is renewed and now I have new Passport number in my USA passport.  I believe The OCI  details are  tied to passport number. What's the process now to update the OCI details so its linked to my new passport number?

My son is US born citizen. At present we have his guest visa (Good for 10 Years) . We are going to stay in India for next few years. Whats the process now to get PIO/OCI for my son.

I am an US Citizen. My wife came to USA on GC on Sep-2011. We just got her GC renewal done ( As at the time of entry in US we were married for less then 2 years). My question is when she will be eligible to file for the citizenship.

It asks for both her and your state ID. Just send that. One for her, one for you. Do exactly what it says, nothing more, nothing less

Very strange. Well, is there a reason you can't send in a copy of her state ID? I am guessing because of your panic she doesn't have one?

I have her State ID that /i am planning to send.. What else should I send?

I am USC and my wife is Permeant Resident (GC Holder).

We got the RFE for the Identity documents..As per the letter

Submit legible copies of the conditional permanent resident and petitioning spouse's driver's licenses and or identity cards from the appropriate state's motor vehicle department.

Please suggest what all I should send in reply to this RFE?

You should get NOA letter this week and Biometrics Appointment Letter sometime next week.

I'm mailing mine tomorrow.

Does anyone know how you get notified of NOA1, and more importantly the biometrics appointment? I will be out of the country for 3 weeks and suspect I may miss some mail and/or not respond in time to change it. If I get an email then great. If it's normal mail I may miss it

Can someone share cover letter template ? I-751 form is suppose to be filed by the person who's GC needs the condition removed, right?

So the cover letter should also be addressed by the same person or the US Citizen spouse can address that cover letter ?
