If ypu are a U.S. citizen, complete the following

Naturalization. Give certificate number and dare and place of issuance

My question is here in certificate number do I need to give the Registration number starting with A****

or the Number printed in Red ink on the Naturalization Certificate?

I am about to send my I-130 packet. Can someone suggest what postal service I should use?

==> USPS (Priority or certified mail) or UPS or FEDEX?

==> In the Check payable to U.S. Dept. of Home Land Security do I need to write my Alien Registration# or SSN# as well?

If I send the one set of selected wedding photos along with my I-130 as part of Bona fide Marriage Evidence , do I need to have the same set of Pics for the NVC stage ? How everyone is managing this situation?

As my family lives in ruler area in India, I am making arrangement to send the package to VFS Mumbai (US Consulate in Mumbai , India) 3 business days prior to the interview date. My plan is to send all but the appointment letter ahead of time to one of my family friend in Mumbai and then make an appointment (As you get the appointment as most just one week in advance...Nothing more advance then that). Once my family friend gets my packet then I can make an appointment and email him the appointment letter so he can print and put along with he packet I send to him so he can do the courier same day that way VFS Mumbai gets the package in time.

I have all the papers that I need to submit to VFS Mumbai except the appointment letter. My question is when I will pick an appointment date does it lets me print the so called "Original interview appointment letter" after I confirm the appointment date or do VFS Mumbai sends you that "Original interview appointment letter" in postal mail or what?

Is this a good list of original documents I need to get ready with for the NVC stage?

All the original of papers submitted during the I-130 packet submissions

• petitioner's proof of naturalization
  
• Original Marriage certificate
  
• Original Birth certificate of spouse
  
• Police certificate
  
• Evidence of a bonafide marriage i.e. joint bank account , emails, phone call log, greeting cards exchanged etc.
  

Do I need the original transcripts of my wife's academic career as well? If I missed out on any document please add/suggest as well.

1 - Which part of India?....Which state you belong to??? Need to have the information to give your any specific information.....but here is the general stuff....

Your passport will only be issued after getting police clearance from TOWN B and also from TOWN A..... Passport Office by law needs this to issue your wife passport...

During NVC process, you need one local police clearance certificate and passport clearenace certificate from Regional Passport Office(RPO).

Local PCC - can be obtained from local SSP office, they will say that she has no bad record from your date of marriage if PCC obtained in less than 1 year of stay.

RPO PCC - Same thing, To give you PCC, RPO will need PCC from Town A and Town B.

Get ready for the long road...

FIRST THING - Passport issued to your wife.... Stay focused on it.

Then, we worry about other things, you have time BUT stay on it to get it ready for NVC state.

I am getting ready with I-130 and following stages. Could someone please tell me what I need for Police certificate in India...Here is the info.

I got married on Dec.-01-2010. So My wife is staying since then at my place where my native family stays(Lets Call it Town B). Before getting married she stayed all her life in diff. town with her family (Lets call it Town A). We just applied for her passport with her changed last name (Now her last name is same as my last name). Passport should be coming in next 4-5 weeks.

My question is Do I need

Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from Town A with her pre-marriage last name?

Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from Town B with her post-marriage last name?

Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from Passport office?

In G-325A where you need to fill-up employment history for past 5 years and after that there is a question about Last occupation abroad. My question is do I need to write last occupation abroad even if it is beyond last 5 years or what?

My emplyment history is something like this

11-1998 - Present -- USA

07-1995 - 10-1998 -- India

Do I need to provide occupational details about Job I had in India?

Isn't Tatkaal Passport scheme is for Fresh Passport / Replacement of Passport (in lieu of Lost/Damage Passport) / Re-issue cases after expiry of 10 years validity . In which category out of all these the name change fits in? I don't see any direct category for it.

Applicant’s ration card, certificate from Employer of reputed companies on letter head, water /telephone /electricity bill/statement of running bank account/Income Tax Assessment Order /Election Commission ID card, Gas connection Bill, Spouse’s passport copy, parent’s passport copy in case of minors. (NOTE: If any applicant submits only ration card as proof of address, it should be accompanied by one more proof of address out of the above categories).

But i know she can get only new Bank account statement as a address proof.While all others are not possible to get it.Sorry i dont know now what to do.But i think there will be any way to get it done.Like i think you can do any Affidavit based on ur marriage certi and the advocate will state that no onwards she is living with him on his address and all. So, you do contact with any passport agent and ask him about the solution.

Thanks. What I would do then is once I get married get her a cell phone billed to new address and a bank account. After a month once she has a bill and a bank account statement she can apply for last name change on the passport. Do you/someone knows how long this name change process will take? I hope she gets all done in time before I need to submit her passport information during I-130/NVC process.

Yes she can keep that address. But i suggest you as you are paying then why you want to keep her old address? I suggest you also changed her parents address to your home address in india. Because this will be helpful in future process for proof of relationship. Like you are real couple and living at the same address and all. This is just my opinion, its up to you what to do. But yes she can keep her old address.

That I want to do as well. However I wont have any proof of address readily available for that. What can be proof of address that I can use?

If you want change her Middle name or Last name then you need to file up Form No.II(EAP-II) form at RPO(Regional passport office)and submit it along with marriage certificate, photocopy of spouse’s passport and proof of stay (if the present address is different from the one in the passport).Please read the below link for more information.

At present the address on her passport is her parents address as she lives with the parents. So once we get married can she still use the same address ?

I am filing I-130 in December once I get married for my would be spouse. I am a naturalized USC. She is in India. Once we get married I want to get her last name changed to my last name. I want to know if someone who has done this in India, can please tell me the steps and what form do I need to fill up. How long this process takes ?
