Hi Guys!
How is everyone? I am so glad that my 10-month-old baby and I are already in the US since Oct. My fiance (now hubby!!!) are kind of slacking off with the next step though... How do we start with my AOS, Adjustment of Status? Can anyone explain to me the steps? (in details if possible..) what are the requirements for AOS? My case is quite complicated, btw. As both me and my baby traveled with US visas even though she's the daughter of my husband (an american citizen). But because he only acquired residency in the USA for LESS THAN 5 YEARS, our daughter was not eligible to file for CRBA. So, would anyone know what we need to do about her case for the AOS?
Also, i'm a bit worried that our visas expire this FEB,2012 already! Is that going to be a problem cause we are only about to get started with AOS?
Thanks guys. Any help will be appreciated. =)

I know you're worried about all the stuff you "HAVE" to do, but don't forget to take time to enjoy finally being with your loved one. You're getting married!!! Quickie or not....ENJOY yourself. Worry about everything else afterwards!!!
Agree! *thumbs up* Sorry I don't know how to add an emoticon. hehe! =)

Hi! So we are nearing our interview at USEM Manila Consulate... I know this might not seem as a big deal but I was wondering if they will allow me to bring help / relative inside to carry my 5-month-old who is also part of the petition, while I do the necessary steps for the interview. Does anyone have any advice for the final interview? Thanks guys =)
I really hope God continues to guide us throughout this journey.

In another thread, this was addressed. I thought if sending one or two hundred every few months would look good. Meaning, it would show I already think of fiance as family? However, it was pointed out it could look like you are "paying for a wife" Maybe not with small amounts, but I am only going to include a few at this time. For example, my fiance has a medical concern, so I am sending her $350 so she does not have to work until surgery. I will pay more after surgery as well. I am not going to include these in out "packet". Hope this helps....todd
My interview is soon... Sept 2 at USEM, I gathered all evidence of our ongoing relationship. my fiance and I have a 5-month-old daughter.. He sends in money regularly thru western union and I am planning to present this at the interview... Is that a bad idea? I don't think they would get the impression I am being paid right?....

After all that anxiety whether I am healthy enough or what....me and my 5-month-old finally passed our medical exam at St Lukes!!!! The vaccines are giving me sore muscles at my arms tho..but anyway, last step before we could be with our Anton again is the interview at the USEM Manila Consulate!!! Any last advice for that? ALSO I was wondering if they will allow me to bring someone, like a helper inside the embassy to carry my baby while I do the necessary steps in the interview..or it's just me and my baby allowed inside? Thanks guys I feel like we have come so far I just really pray God continues to guide us throughout the rest of our journey.

I just finished with my medical exam. It was a long day, we got there at 9am and finished around 3pm. The online registration helped at first tho! So I suggest everyone does that. We're going back at 1:30pm to get results and hopefully immunization then we're done with the med exam!
Good luck guys!

My husband completed and passed his advanced medical around 2pm Manila time today. I believe he went to St Lukes around 5:00am Monday. He completed the online registration at http://www.slec.ph/ and said it was a breeze having done this. FYI - he's on CR1 visa category.
Today being his second day, they requested he come in at 8:30am for his results. Well, after lots of waiting, immunization, going back and forth to the releasing dept and then heading to 5th floor, then head back to 3rd floor, then 1st floor....he finally got his results at 2pm. THANK YOU LORD!
In his case, no appointment was necessary. Not sure if this applies to K1.
Thank you for sharing that link, I just registered. We will do our medical tomorrow morning. Hopefully I won't have my monthly yet!
Make sure to have ALL the paperwork and copies requested. Good luck to you!

You're welcome!
Not yet! I'm hoping I could schedule it within the next week or two.
I'm planning to be there maybe by 5am or 6am so I can hopefully get an early number and have plenty of time in the day for possible problems!
6-8 hours?! Anyway, what is 6-8 hours after waiting months for this to come, right?
I believe the milk is for the chest x-ray, as it is believed to clean your lungs? Doesn't hurt to try!
Thanks for the day tip! Maybe I should get Tuesday or Wednesday then. Was it fast when you did yours? Will it really take 2 days?
What's the sterilized milk for?
I'm thinking Bear Brand here.

i arrived 7:30 am. since Thursday and Friday don't have much people. they said its not good if your going there monday.. coz too much people. but if you come early they allowed you to go inside of the building for your safety.. goodluck to your medical.. drink sterilized milk.. it will big help..
Thanks for that. I am planning to go tomorrow but only if they accept walk-in patients at lunch time / noon. If not, then I will go on Wednesday morning. The reason I am in a hurry is because I am expecting my monthly period soon and they say I can't have the test done if I have my period, must do med exam A WEEK AFTER monthly period. That's going to delay us yet again and I am hoping to get everything done soon. Oh well. I hope all goes well!

I am also using one of those accordion style folders, it's those plastic envelopes with dividers. All my documents fit, including my daughters, as we are both being petitioned.

I think you will find this thread helpful:

GOOD LUCK!
Thanks for that. Have you done your medical? What time did you arrive?
Anyway, regarding setting an appointment, I did mine yesterday and it took more than 6-8hours (I think) before I could schedule myself. I called an operator earlier that day and she said I should just schedule it the next day as it takes time for the system to input the payment. But I badly wanted to make an appointment ASAP so I just kept trying until it finally came in. That was already night time hehe. I hope you get to schedule yours today! =)

Hi guys! We (me and my 5-month-old) are having our medical exam done this week! Most likely 2 days from now. Any last advice?
What time should we arrive St. Lukes Ermita (Manila, Philippines)? I called in earlier and they say they open at 6am. Should we still come in earlier tho? I am so nervous cause it's not easy bringing a baby along especially when you're expecting a long wait / long day ahead.

Hi guys! What is an CEAC confirmation letter? I am going to my interview on Sept. 1 for K1 (fiancee visa) together with my 5-month-old daughter. We paid for two visa fees. Do we need this CEAC confirmation letter? Thanks =)

I'm afraid not.. What is CFO? does that take long?
I just did some research on CFO.. I think we'll do that after final interview. Thanks again, Jim! =)
-
Did you already attend CFO and was the child registered? If you have not been yet thats a requirement before you leave the country, Jim.

Is the father a US citizen? If so, then the baby cannot be issued a visa. You would need to obtain a US passport for the child. No medical needed for that.
eah the father is a USC but we are not eligible to file for CRBA since Anton (my fiance and father of child) has only been living in the USA for about 3 years and it says that in order to file for CRBA, USC must have had residency for at least 5 years... So we're getting the child a visa instead.
-
well, we're both applying for a US visa. I already got my NOA2 for K1 and they say she's included in the petition. I'm not really sure how it goes tho, does she need medical too? If so, what can we expect? Like what procedures are they going to do on her? =/
Is the 5 mo. old getting an exam as well?

Congratulations to your friends!!!
I am very worried though because it is quite similar to our case... We applied for a fiance visa and got our NOA2 approved last June. I am about to schedule a medical exam for me and our 5-month-old baby girl. The father is the USC, he was born in the US but only resides for about 3 years (not eligible for CRBA). Oh no.. The father (my fiance) and I have been friends since 2008 and he went back to the US just 2010 to work. I was pregnant at the time and of course we want to be together in raising our daughter. I hope they don't deny our visa as it is already difficult, my pregnancy and those 5months w/o him!! =(

I am about to schedule a medical exam for myself and my child. Does anyone have an idea what's going to happen/what to expect from the med exam with a 5-month-old baby girl? Just so we could prepare for it.
Any insights will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Oh one more thing, I was wondering how long usually does USEM Manila consulate schedule an interview once you're done with med exam? Or do you choose a date yourself?

Thank you for that post. But where does our packet go? Like the I-129F form, other documents, evidence of ongoing relationship, pictures, etc which we've submitted to USCIS? Is it already in USEM Manila consulate, sitting there and waiting for us to schedule everything? I'm still a bit confused on how to go about this. =/
-
NVC said our case has been forwarded to USEM MNL Consulate last June 20. I'm anxiously waiting for the packet or an email, whatever news from the USEM here and it's not getting any easier fixing all the papers, waiting and waiting, not being able to inquire through the telephone and taking care of a 4-month-old all by myself. I badly want to be with her dad, my fiance soon. It's so hard not to be able to talk to someone who can give straight answers on time etc. I usually get answers / info on what to expect by researching and since our baby was born I haven't had the luxury of time. We already got delayed before I can't bear getting delayed again. I think it's been too long, it should be a year this Sept since we started with this issuance of visa.
Sorry for venting out but to get straight to the point, how long does it usually take before you hear from your consulate? before you could schedule for a med exam, pay fees and set an appointment for interview? NVC already sent ours out June 20, 2011. I already gathered all the requirements that they might ask, just waiting for that packet or a "go signal" that we can submit to our consulate the needed documents.
Any insight on this will do as I feel like I am kept in the dark.
