sorry i stand corrected the amount has changed to 15000 so roughly $23500 then you pay 9% of the amount over this!Im quit pleased as when i contacted them in January they told me it was the equivalent of 12000/$18500
-
its 15000 uk pounds if you live in the uk!they deem the cost of living to be less in the us
-
Its once your earning 12000 pounds/$18500 (based on todays rate roughly) you start repaying and its a much higher amount also
-
i cant remember the form but i just said that i was taking savings with me showing my travelex receipts!your student loans are your responsibility and no one elses

Phone them up and just explain your moving to the US and you wont have a job for a while and they will defer it for you and then they will just tell you once you get a job to contact them and arrange how you will play it. They suggest once or twice a year payments! they will send you a form to fill out also!

Just called USCIS as it said my case had went back to post decision activity so i was curious why but she said it was normal so not to worry, she then transfered me to another person who was able to tell me my Greencard got sent today and gave me the tracking number for it. She thinks it will arrive on Monday

I found out today that my AOS was approved and my card is in production yaaaaaaaay!
The strange thing fotr me though was my AP and EAD are still in initial review which means nothing now as the GC
gives me the authorization to work and leave the country.
From sending in the case it has only taken 48 days for it to be completed from them receiving it!
Im completely shock how quickly that has happened and hope more people will receive it this quickly
Good luck to all
-
Yeah i cant beleive it as i was sure it would take much longer to get the GC i just had a look today quickly to see if anything had happened with my EAD/AP but got a huge shock to see the approval for GC
-
Hi just to let people know that I got my AOS approved today yaaaaaaaaaaaay

you have about another 3-4 months on average waiting about for your noa2....fun fun not sure what the interview schedule is like at your embassy so i dont know how long you will wait after noa2!
-
Seems like some people have alot to hide then....
-
have not heard of it though if someone was wondering that maybe there is something to hide....
-
im not sure what is done at the mexican embassy but when i went for my interview i had to supply the I134 and then with AOS its the I864

Providing they have no criminal record and have never been denied entry they would just fill out the ESTA thing on line which will tell them if they can travel on VWP they must do this before getting in the plane!tell them to search online for it! If that gets okayed they can come with that and they will just fill out a wee customs form on the plane and as long as the person at the border ok's them which usually from the uk they do they will be ok to stay in the US for 90 days!
I travelled to the US 6 times using the VWP over the space of 3 years with no issue
AOS April 2011 filers!!!!!!
