Nijabound got a reaction from Ashipa in Birth Certificate- RFE
Please can someone here advice me, I am from Nigeria, I was issued RFE on Birth Certificate, I previously submitted my Age Declaration of my birth sworn by me in the Notary public to USCIS. In the affidavit i stated that my birth Certificate was obtained, registered and got lost in the transit as i was told by my mother. When i made an inquiry through my sister to verify about the records through the Local govt about my birth to get a Certify true copy from my local Govt, I was told that my birth was not on record at the time i was born.
It is on the basis of this information that i need an advice on what to re-submit to USCIS on the issue of Birth Certificate, If i obtained a non avaliable Certificate from the Local Govt in my country with other supporting documents to prove my Birth, Will it have negative effect on my case since i have previously submitted to the USCIS the affidavit i got from home country which stated that it was registered and obtained and later got lost in transit.
Please can someone advice me on what to do , I am just confused

Despite the divorce, he is still entitle to apply for the Adjustment of Status on his own since he came on K1 visa. I disagreed with the people that posted that he would not be entitled to adjust status. The case of Choin and Mukasey is an eye opener for every applicant that came on K1 Visa. Please view this site and look for an immigration Attorney that will work with you through out the entire process. http://www.visapro.com/Immigration-Articles/?a=1169&z=36. Please before you post anything as an advice to any applicant that needs help, always search for the recent immigration amendments in such cases to avoid misleading the applicant. US Immigration Laws is changing everyday, If he can demostrate that he enters the marriage in good faith, his permanent residence is certain without any hinderance.
