Hi Ann. I'm sorry but I have no idea when it comes to adjustment of status because I am a CR-1, not K-1. Maybe you can ask the others who came ahead of you using a K-1 visa.

I-551 sis is the application for permanent GC. Wala ka ng dapat gagawin. The immigration officer took care of it at your POE. All you have to do is wait. Sinabihan ako sa POE na 3 months but not more than 6 months ko mareceive ang GC ko but it took almost a month lang. If you can sis, follow-up mo na lang sa USCIS by calling their customer service line. You should get it from their website uscis.gov

Hi sis. Kahapon dumating yung green card ko. Sana mareceive mo very soon. Bakit ganun mas una ka dumating dito. Maybe you can call the USCIS to follow-up. Sa akin sis sabay ko natanggap last April 28 ang NOA1 at NOA2 ng I-551 ko then kahapon natanggap ko ang GC. Di ko nga inexpect kasi sabi ng NOA2 30 days after pa ang GC. Salamat naman 5 days after lang. I hope you will get your green and SS cards soon sis.

@Ann: Flight and POE were smooth. I'm sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner. Been quite busy since I got here. Hopefully I'll get my SSN this Friday. I went there the next day I arrived here but the lady in charge said I have to wait ten days clearing time since the immigration could issue me one too. What my main concerns are driving and finding a job =)

A little windy but not so much sis. I like the weather here in northern CA. But it gets colder in winter and hot in summer but I still think it's better than the Philippines climate. =)

I checked the yellow envelope again this morning, flipping the immigrant data summary sheet a bit and I've seen that the cut was just a slash-like tear fron the side going to the center and not all the way to the top, therefore it didn't look like an intentional damage. Thank You Lord. I hope my POE experience will be smooth. It's all in Your hands, oh God. Please take care of me.

Thanks Evieve! Tripod, not sure about your question. I believe it depends on a lot of factors. Sometimes it's the VSC that's fast and CSC is lagged behind and other times it's the other way around.
