If you're going to use UPS, you need to use this address:
USCIS Attn: I-129F 2501 South State Highway 121 Business Suite 400 Lewisville, TX 75067
I sent mine there via UPS and had no problems. Good luck!

I mailed mine the day before you. Haven't heard anything back yet though the check was cashed. I got scared about the expired form but just checked mine and it's ok. Never thought to look at that! Good luck!

My check cleared today! Celebrating another baby step....

Good luck, B_J! My package was delivered today at noon. We had a brief moment of excitement and now are settling in for the long wait along with you!
I second your thoughts....It would've been a challenge to prepare the package without the knowledge on this site. When you follow the instructions given here, it actually comes out looking pretty professional.

My package was just delivered!

I sent ours out on Saturday 2 day mail. They'll have it tomorrow!

Hello fellow Journeyers!
Well, our package is 99% complete! Just a few loose ends to wrap up and our I-129f will be in the mail tomorrow. Exciting!

Has anyone had an experience with a K-1 interview in Costa Rica? I'm wondering if I should go to the interview with my fiancee who is from Costa Rica. Any thoughts on this?
-
Well, I'm planning on going to Costa Rica for an engagement celebration there so I guess we can plan on having the party when the interview is scheduled!
Thanks for the feedback!

My fiancee and I are beginning the K-1 process. Do I need to be there with her in Costa Rica when she goes for the interview? Does it make a difference if I am there or not?

Thanks!
Here is the magic trick to your question: Call the USCIS tele.# And choose the 1 for english or 2 for spanish. the in this sequence push these options. 2-2-6-2-4 Use these options everytime you are prompted. <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/good.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="good.gif" />
Wow! This really works! But 1-2-6-2-4 if you want an English speaking rep.

Follow up to my previous post:
My fiancee was in the US working on a J1 visa as an Au Pair. She quit that job in May. She then came back on the visa in August to see me even though she wasn't working anymore.
Question B12 states "He or she last arrived as a:(visitor, student, exchange alien, crewman, stowaway, temporary worker, without inspection, etc.)
I was going to put "Au Pair" but that's not technically true since she was no longer working. Any thoughts on how I should complete this?
Also, there is no "Date authorized stay expired, or will expire as shown on I-94 or I-95" on her I-94. Do I just put the date her visa expires?
-
I've never heard of the 2 yr requirement! Will that be detailed on the DS-2019?

My fiancee was working in the US under a J-1 visa. She quit her job in May 2010 and returned home to Costa Rica. She then re-entered the US on 8/26/10 on the same visa even though she is not working. We just got engaged and are beginning the K-1 process. Her visa expires 11/9/10 and she is going home on 12/1/10 (to be out of the country within 30 days from visa expiration date).
Is it going to be a problem for us that she is here on the J-1 and no longer working?
