They also requested for me and my fiance to come for a dual interview in may. I suggest that you prepare questions and practice them and also coach your fiance on how to answer the questions. They will take you guys to a little room one at a time and question you guys separately. Be prepared to be asked about anything, they even asked us about our sexual life. I have to say that mosty people who came for a dual interview got approved. also dont let your guiards down while sitting in the waiting area because the word is they watch how you guys interact witghout you knowing. I have to say that for Haiti, it would be a very good idea to be present at the interview.The first time my fiance went to the interview the consulate ask him to return with me even though he answered everything correct. When I was there I noticed that all the people who were there with their fiances got approved. Some people do get approved without their fiances being there but those are few and far in between, if you can afford to go please do so.

I just went through a dual interview in Haiti and they allowed me to choose my own date.

When you say they are not accepting it, exactly what do you mean? What reason did they give you for not accepting it? Do they want an official translated version? They can't just refuse to accept it, there must be a reason.

He should drop everything to Haiti Messager including the original birth certificate. If he doesn't have it Haiti messager will not accept his packet. Thats what my fiance did.

In Haiti, the way it work is you take the originals of all the documents listed and drop them off at Haiti Messager, they don't accept copies. Haiti messager will forward all your original documents to the embassy and the embassy will keep them and return some of them on the day of the interview and the rest later with your fiance's passport. All the listed documents will have to be dropped off a Haiti messajer, the only thing your fiance will need to bring with him to the interview is $10, your fiance's passport and any extra proof of relationship just in case.

The medical cost 350 us dollars. They will send you a list of doctors to chose from in packet 3. We chose Dr. Buteau, because we were told by a friend that he was the fastest, we got our results back in exactly seven days.

You would have to redo the medical exam over if it expires he enters the us.

the sponsor dont need to be a family member it can be a friend. as long that person is a us citizen and hits the minimum

Actually the sponsor does not have to be a US citizen, It can be a friend that is a green card holder and meets the financial requirement.

I dont think the 1V apply to k1 visas. One your case is approved it will be forwarded to the NVC where will will stay for about two weeks unless you are selected for administrative processing which can take longer. Once your case leaves the NVC it will be sent to the Port Au Prince embassy and they will sent you packet 3 with intructions on how to do you medical which is currently 350 us dollars. Once you have all your documents together you will drop them off at Haiti Messajer, if all your documents are complete Haiti Messajer will forward them to the embassy where they will be further analyzed. Once the embassy accepts all your documents they will send you a letter with an interview date through Haiti Messajer and you will go from there.

Think hard cause if he cheated while you were there, I can only imagine what does when you are not there.

The best thing to do is to use DHL, you will get it the next day. I wouldn't trust the Haitian postal service with any important documents.
