Does anyone know a Civil Surgeon around DC & VA who only charge for signing the I-693 without a requirement of another medical exam. I have called most docs. that is inthe USCIS list and they are expensive! :-(

Received my SSN card today! :-D Next week will be the marriage license.. Loving life.

Applied for for SSN and hopefully will receive the mail in 2weeks

Clay and roan: I called the 2go March 31 and they just received my Visa including the visa packet.. :-)

Went to CFO for the sticker April 4 & flew back to Washington DC April 5.. We're now settling here in our house and waiting next friday for my SSN & Application for Marriage..

How long did it take for Roan to get her visa after the interview. The CO told us that it will take 2 days for 2GO to get it, but now almost a week, and I went to Embassy to check, and they say it takes a week for them to release the passport. That sound about right? Just curious. Any help is appreciated, as we are scheduled to fly to DC on 5 Apr.

@John+Lourdelie: Our interview was March 24 (got approved) but until today the 2go courier don't have my name in the list of Immigrant Visa's they receive from US Embassy. The CO though said to us they print the visas a day after the interview & if it falls on thursday it will mostly be release friday or at the latest monday...We are hoping to get it today...

Yeah, we were ecstatic. Lots of relief of stress. Just takes time, communication with each other, and patience. Just know it WILL happen, just that it is a big government, and takes time to get things done.

There was no problem with the customs or immigration. When she applied for the tourist visa, she told them that she wanted to visit while waiting on K1, showed her NOA1. The CO said that ok, seems you know what you are doing. and granted her B2. So she lived with me in US. During interview in Phils, CO asked, and we told him that I visited her, so was time for her to visit me. He said ok.Good luck

Nervous about my upcoming scheduled interview with USEM. Need some comforting words from Vj members who have gone through and passed..

Ann & I are enjoying our time here in D.C while waiting for the day we fly to Manila for her K1 interiew..

Got my appointment with USEM, and interview is on March 24, 2011..I hope everything goes quick and smoothly.. Wish me luck everyone!!

We've had our struggles too but just have patience and yours will happen soon. Keep following it up with the USCIS call center/visa officer. Goodluck!

I konw saying to be patient does not help. I suggest that you push HARD when you call USCIS. We asked them to put in the service call to find out WHY we were out of the 5 month time frame. They started to, and found out then of EXACTLY what day they were processing. 10 days later, we were approved and 2 days after that, NOA2 in the mail. Just a suggestion. Good luck!!!!

Yay! Fiance just called a min ago the USCIS and found out our K1 petition is approved!! Now waiting for the actual letter ;-)
