I am so excited and I can hardly breathe!!! OMG

    Congratulations!!! sooo happy for you!!!

  2. thank you very much, yes I did ONLINE PAYMENT, I will find that. If I sign back to the online payment page, with the appropriate invoice IDs, I assume I can get there again. Also your payments for AOS and IV payments were also 88, and 404 $. Is this correct?

What comes next after this? Can you give me a quick answer, will the appointment for interview get scheduled right after this?

    Thanks.

What Part you do not understand... my goodness!!!:rofl::rofl:

  3. jeeeeesh.i wanted to bring rice or those special middle eastern lemons.this sucks

anyways,i have a question,i wanna get a wedding dress, not necessarily white or poofy and big,but rather something shorter and chic, and i was wondering are there many options in turkey as far as high end stores go?should i wait to get there and find something or should i ask my SO to order it for me already from a store in the states?

    Hi There,

I just came back from Turkey and yesssss, beautiful wedding dresses of any kind you want in Turkey, much better than the ones here and they will do any alterations you need in a day.I say,buy it in Turkey.

    Good luck!

  4. Hi There,

I had a question and was hoping if someone might be able to provide an answer or if anyone knew of any resources to look at. Are there specific entry ports that individuals must use when coming to the U.S from Turkey after they have their visa approval? I am asking because the two times I have flown to Turkey, I have flown from DFW to New York or Chicago but always my return flight from Istanbul is to Chicago. Does it matter where your destination flight lands in the U.S when coming from Turkey? Normally I fly into Chicago and then from Chicago to Dallas, so I was just curious if we would need to look into alternative flight options?? Anyone have a clue?

    Thanks

    Hi There,

He has to go to the customs first place his plane lands, that might take long time for his visa and passport control. Then he has to collect his luggage there and then he has to check in again where ever he goes to. I am going to get my husbands ticket either from Frankfurt or Amsterdam(depends on which airline he is flying with)directly to Houston so he doesn't have to do all of that.

  5. Hi Nihal,

I need some clarification from the e-mail I got from NVC. It says for the Correspondence Instructions, direct inquiries to the embassy for my mom. Have any idea what that is all about so that I can prep my mom for the interview.

    Thanks

  12. Called the NVC today to figure out about the AOS (not adjustment of status) and asked the man about translations for the birth certificate, police certificate and if the copy of our translated marriage certificate was suitable to send in. He actually told me that We didn't need to have the birth certificate or the police certificate translated. His reasoning was that it is all going to the embassy in Ankara and they speak Turkish there. It shocked me but we are having it translated anyway.

    1. Is it ok if we send in the already translated copy of the marriage certificate (the one we send in with the 130) since he will be bringing the original to his interview?

I'm super afraid originals will be lost in the mail.

    2. Who fills out the DS 230?

The man told me that he is the one filling it out, but I have seen more USCs filling out the 230s. He will go back to work again soon (lives on a ship) so we are trying to hurry because either I have to send him information or he has to send me information.

I just sent IV package for my husband.

Turkish marriage licence(we got married in Turkey)and copy of the translation from Turkish Consulate

Police records(my husband got it from Turkey and translated)

    Military records and translation

DS-230 forms (part 1 signed by my husband and part 2 not signed)

    2 -2x2 pictures of beneficiary

    Barcoded cover sheet

My husband did all the paperwork in Turkey and mailed it to me.
