  1. Hi Saylin,I am so sorry to hear that.I am going thru similar things that you are going thru except there is not another women there.he changed so mush after three mo. he arrived here. I am really considering to divorce him and I am NOT going to sign any papers to remove his condition next year.I talked to him many times and nothing helps and I don't want to continue my marriage under these conditions. You remember how much wait and worries, how many sleepless nights to wait for TSC to complete our cases so we could be together and happy with our husbands.

I hope everything goes well for you sweety and you will be happy again with your hubby.

  2. Hello Everyone,

Sorry for disappering on you guys, hubby is here and lots of things to take care and do.He arrived here in Houston May 24 th with couple of hrs. waiting at the immigration line(lots of immigrants and long lines). He just received his green card last week but not his SS card, so we went and applied again.(they supposed to send it in three weeks of his arrival but they didn't).

Not sure if he really liked it here yet, but, at least I speak Turkish and that helps a lot.He will be starting ESL classes soon to learn English and also studying at home.I try to speak English with him but it's hard to do, because, I miss speaking Turkish LOL..LOL..

I am glad that Baris is moving along well and even got a job.Kadir is here also and hope he gets his green card and SS card soon.also happy for Tuana, they got their interwiev date finally. I am so happy for recent interwiev dates and hope everybody's interwiev goes well without any problems.

Promise to be back soon with new updates..

    Nihal

  3. I have a quick question, how long it took for you in NVC after you have submitted IV documents until you hear case completed, and interview scheduled? Was there a big time difference between the time of case complete and appointment scheduled.

If you can let me know, I appreciate that a lot.

I have sent my documents about 2 weeks ago, and I haven't heard anything since than. They (NVC)told me to allow at least 20 business days to review my case. I wonder how long does it usually take for everyone in average.

And once the case is complete, how long it takes to get an appointment scheduled at the consulate? I know this would depend on the business of the consulate, but I am asking how long it took for your case? Especially if anyone went through this in the US Consulate at Ankara, that is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

NVC gave our appointment same day,I was really suprised.SIF was Saturday and I called following Monday to find out if our case was complete and she gave us our embassy appointment date.Whole thing took 23 days for us.

  4. I will add to the good news! My husband got his visa approved today! He has to go back on Monday to pick up his passport and envelope! I haven't had the chance to have a lengthy convo with him about the interview but he did mention that they grilled him about our relationship. I'm gonna ask him for details later and post again!

    Anyway, it's a good day!

I agree! You were super helpful, Saylin! And congrats!!

They grilled my husband about our relationship also but important thing,he got approved! Journey is over !

Can you tell us what has been asked during the interview?

    Ours is 2 weeks later.

    They asked him,

How we met, where we met,how we communicated, how often we communicated, where I worked,my age and asked him to see our pictures. That's it.

Good luck to you and keep in mind that, they don't ask everybody same questions.I am Turkish-American and my husband is Turkish,we both speak same language. Again,Good luck with your interview!

  8. This is so damn frustrating, hopefully someone can give me some insight. I receive the RFE today after 5 months at USCIS. The RFE states the following items:

*All foreign language documents must be submitted with complete word-for-word English translations. The translator must certify that the translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate. [This is EXACTLY what I did]

The petitioner is advised to submit a copy of the front page of the passport showing name as well as the pages of stamped entry into Brazil [Problem with that since my fiance is Ukrainian and neither of us have ever been to Brazil] If the meeting took place at another location please provide evidence (passport entries) indicating both parties were at the same location at the same time. Provide photos if available. It goes on to say REQUIREMENT THAT PETITIONER AND BENEFICIARY HAVE MET IN PERSON: Circumstances of Meeting and Last Personal Meeting [i supplied how we met, my passport copy with stamps of entry and exit from Kiev, boarding passes and ticket stubs, photos of us together with clear background of common sites in Kiev, lodging receipts - essentially everything the RFE is requesting]

What am I missing here? The fact they talk about Brazil, can they have our package confused with someone else's file? What is the best way to proceed? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

When I got my RFE back in February, they had some female name as my husband,I immediatly responded and they corrected.Same officer sends these RFE's probably forgot to clear his computer for the person he sent RFE before you and you got mixed message..
