Thanks everyone!

That's pretty long huh. Cause if someone is from Manila, they can pick it up on the 3rd business day.
-
Including holidays/weekends or just business days?
-
To those who came from Cebu, how long did you get your visa after your interview?
-
Wow, I can't believe this is really happening.
When my husband first came to the Philippines, ofcourse we were not married that time, several people in Arrival Area tried to scam him. And yea, someone did call me. But the good thing is his US phone is in roaming so he was able to contact me from his phone. I told him not to listen to anyone else and just stay where he is. He did. But it was his first time and the one who called me kind of asked something, he gave $5 anyway. ARGH! But that was it, he didn't bother to listen to them anymore. And the second time, he visited, I told Matt not to go to the Arrival Area anymore for him not to experience what happened before. I told him I would meet him at the exit door of the airport. He was also smart to use the phone coin booth inside the airport to call me to tell me that he is about to go outside. Me, waiting so far at the other end told the guard that I am meeting my fiance (now my husband), and he allowed me to hop on the low railings quickly. LOL! I can say that the guard was waiting for me to hand something but because there are officials around, he didn't bother. It was just on his looks but I didn't look at him in eyes. Haha! So, there I was, waiting on the door, pretending to be one of the passengers who just got out so that I won't be expelled from where I was. LOL! Few minutes later, Matt got out and there's a cab in line there using metered one and it brought us to my place for only less than 200 pesos. Unlike on the first visit, the driver asked for 500 pesos!!! I can't believe how they easily charge that much money!!! Well, God bless them! And also, I usually handle when there is something needed to pay so they won't ask my husband for extra. It helps!

To avoid the hassle, fly before May 16 then You would not want to go through medical again, I tell you.

Don't worry folks, for sure, NVC will schedule your interview next week. We tried emailing the Embassy before too using this email add IVManilaReplies@state.gov and yes, we got a reply because the NVC scheduled it soon after. NVC schedules every first to second week of the month though they rarely schedule some on the last week. But don't worry cause next week is already first week of May, so, go, keep bugging NVC for your interview date Once you have it and they delivered it to US Embassy Manila, that's the time you can call Manila to request a date at your convenience. Hope this helps! God bless you!

When I went there, I just told, my petitioner is my husband and I want to have an advance medical Response: Sure!

Please check my signature. And yes, for Cr1/Ir1, it's the embassy who will schedule the interview.

still no luck getting through NVC. not even once.
starting to think Magic Jack is giving me a fake busy signal.
Same here. I can't go through using my magicjack so I used google call (it's free) and there you go

There's a very cheap price if someone is travelling for the first time to US with PAL. You gotta check it out. Several got around 600-700usd from PI to SFO.

How far is it to USEM and St. Lukes?
Just really near. Wait, do you know where St. Luke's already? If you can picture out, this place is near Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Hmmmm, if you want to take jeepney, just for example, you just have to pay the minimum of 8pesos, so it's just near

Thanks so much. I think thats a good place to stay. Their room looks decent and clean.
James, you might like it too. They offer DAILY and WEEKLY accommodations for as low as P300-P400 per person (4-6 pax occupancy per room).
MONTHLY bed space rental P5k-P6k per month (4-6pax in a room).
Yep, very good price. I love the free wi-fi

Its gonna be me, my son and my mom. Is it only good for 1 person?
Daily only? Anyway, the place where I'm staying now accepts daily or monthly anyway but it is really nice. It's in Sta. Monica St. Pasay City. One ride to St. Luke's (8pesos if jeepney).
-
If it only for yourself, it is nice there. Just one ride to where St. Luke's is.
-
I know a place. It's nice. Or is it only for yourself or you're with someone?
-
Ok, here's an information to everyone. When you say you have a box of 20 x 20 x 20 dimension, it is just okay. To get the required check-in baggage is length + width + height, that is, 20 + 20 + 20 = 60 inches. So, you are good to go
-
Yep, there is! There is one in Kalaw St and three before you get to St.Luke's while walking. Just very near. You just ask around there or you can even see it for yourself
PAL Promo
in Philippines
Posted
Who among of you here was able to get PAL promo (first-time immigrant)? I heard it's a lot cheaper. The only thing is that, PAL has been cancelling a lot of their flights from time to time due to PAL employees' rebellion. Anyway, I still want to hear! Please share how did you avail it. Thanks!
