You're so funny guys! I wish there was no advance medical and I can just go for it a week before the interview then fly after few days.

So, that's two countries now that I know of that can do advance medicals: Philippines and the UK. Interesting, interesting....

If my wife goes in on a tuesday afternoon and returns wed for her medical and there is a problem were she needs to do a sputum test, will she have enough time to complete that the same week with a embassy apt tuesday the following week

Your wife's appointment with the embassy will automatically be cancelled if she will be advised to do sputum collection.

We were told also that there are no more interview dates available for April. And I don't think they only schedule every second week cause if you will base it from others' timelines (from Philippines), they were scheduled even on the third week of the month. So, let's wait a little longer. And yea, let's bug them every single day

not meaning to rain on your parade, but I believe the extension office is actually in the departure terminal beyond the initial security screening. You must have a reservation/ticket to get in and you can't leave (other than to your flight) once you go through security. I stopped and spoke to the counter attendant a few trips ago, and asked about the hours and to make sure that the sticker was available there. It is available and they are open fairly late.

Yay! Congrats! Finally DONE!

I think that I made a mistake! I sent the DS-230 IV petition to the NVC on Saturday, March 12th. The clerk at the contract postal station (USPS) said that the pick up was in 20 minutes (4:30 PM) and he said that he thought that the priority mail would get there just as quickly as Express mail since it was over the weekend. The packet had to go from Spokane Washington State to Portsmouth, NH at the NVC. At the contract postal station they don't scan the certification for the tracking as they do at the regular post office so I don't know where the package is. I hope it gets there soon (tomorrow). It would have been there yesterday or today (Tuesday) if I had sent it Express.

You expressed mail the package? It's supposed to get to NVC in less than 24hours. If it didn't, get your refund from USPS. We did that back when we mailed our I-130. We got back our $27!!!

AH , Goodluck on tomorrows interview... As of 9 minutes ago my Judy's flight left the ground from Manila ..... 24 hours to go and in my gal's arms again... I love you little booger...lol

All civil documents from me were my married name Including my passport

Where do you check? The CFO website only gives locations for Manila and Cebu. Can't find anything about an office at NAIA.

i would say dont push your luck at the airport i never heard any success story of getting the sticker at the airport even though they say you can get it there better to get it at the CFO office if you want to board your plane on the same day.

Another additional question: I have the certificate already but no sticker yet, can I have the sticker in the airport? Or I have to go to the CFO office?

I emailed NVC Inquiry over the weekend like calibob did to see if I could get an interview date. Got this tonight in response:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Please be advised that we schedule interview appointments based on the capacity of the respective U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. We are unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the designated representative of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will be notified. The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.

Oh well. I suppose I'll be patient, lol. It was worth a shot.

Matt also called NVC and was told to call back this Friday.

Called NVC for interview date and was told that they are still scheduling interviews for April and was advised to call this Friday.

Not yet. She's not back from the hospital yet.

Yea, ask her how it went and what the doctor told her. If she was advised to take medicines. The result is discussed to her.

Just found out the Mrs. has to do the sputum test/culture........2 more months hopefully.........let it be negative......

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that, Bob. Did she discuss to you the one-to-one talk with the doctor?

I see that it takes two months for the medical to be completed (the culture test). Do you know if it is the same time frame in Indonesia? I just submitted my wife's DS-230.

I believe it's only in the Philippines. Since before, I don't know exactly and I don't know if this was a fact, there was a TB epidemic.

The Phillipines allows for an early medical exam because they are required to take tests that have a couple months wait time for results. Refer to your country portal to see if your husband can get an early medcial. Most countries require an interview notice to make an appt for the medical exam.
