I have family member who just arrived from India on F4. They have received their green card yet, but something has come up and they would like to go back to india for a few months. Are they allowed to leave the country without getting their green card? (I will mail them the cards once I get them).
I didn't see a I-551 or temporary green card stamp in their passport. It's been a while since I've done immigration stuff.
Thank you in advance.

If I've already submitted DS-230 to NVC, does benificiary still have to send ds-230 again when packet 4 arrives?

Are parents intereviewed together or seperate? My parents have interview on same day at same time.
Also what sort of questions should they expect?
-
I've received my interview letter today for my parents. Now I am bit confused.
1. The interview letter has no information on how to get a medical done.
2. It's asks to bring petitioner's marriage certificate & birth certificate (does this need to be original) ?
3. i've already submitted the Passport Police Certificate to NVC, but in the letter it lists as one of the items to bring to the interview
please help!

I am getting ready to send in the BIO data forms to NVC. I have the Police Certificate, the question is do I also need Passport Clearance Certificate as well if I am going to Mumbai embassy? or do I take that during the interview?
I was informed that the passport office doesnt give certificate without consulate letter. I called NVC once an they said everything needs to be mailed to the NVC. Today i asked them again and today they said the passport certificate can be presented at the interview (which i also checked with other people who have been through the process). I think the second answer is right and i will probably end up doing that.
great thanks!! One more question, I understand we have to send in original docs with ds-230, would notarized copy of the original work or we need to send originals?
I called NVC. You must send in Original documents, Notarized will NOT work!

I am the petitioner and sent in the ds-3032 via email, do I need to mail it in?? or does the benificiary needs to send in the ds-3032 as well?

What is the average wait time from AOS Fee to IV Fee bill?
-
If we scan and email the ds-3032 form, do we still have to mail the form?

I was reading LingChe's NVC Shortcut. In the shortcut, it says with DS-230 we have to send in the Original Police Certificate. I remember when I filed for my wife a few years back she took the certificate to her interivew, is this no longer true? do I have to send the in the police certificate right now?
Are you sure you aren't confusing the Medical Report with the PCC?
As far as I know from mine and my fiance's past experience is that you submit the PCC with your passport at the VFS.
That's what I thought, but in the shortcut it says to submit the Police Clearance Certificate with ds-230. I am so confused.
Submit your PCC, Passport and other supporting documents to the VFS. You will have this info in your packet 4 giving you the addresses of each VFS.
Which embassy is your case assigned to? Let me know and I'll look it up for you and send you the link to packert 3 and packet 4 with the instructions.
I am at Bombay embassy. The thing is that I am going to be receiveing my DS-230 here in states b/c I put my address as the agent, so am confused about sending the PCC. In the past the beneficiary took the PCC w/ them at the interview.

I have paid my AOS fee, now wondering when to send in the I-864? DO I have to wait for NVC to send me something or can I send it in any time? I have already printed off the coversheet.
Please advise.

Thanks you guys, one more quick questions. In future can I return their forms in same envelope or do I have to send mail them seperatly?

My parent's case was approved at differnet times. My father's case was approved about month ago and I already have received the DS-3032 which I still haven't sent back. My mother's case was approved last week, so will be getting DS-3032 in next few weeks.
I understand that we only have to pay one AOS fee for parents' case. How do I go about linking these two cases together since they were approved at different times and will not have a sequencial NVC case number?
-
I have filed for my parents. I've got Choice of Agent form along with AOS fee instructions. Question is do I need to pay two separate fees for each case? Also, when I send the documents back, do I have to send it in seperate envelope or can I send it together? (same question later on down the road for biodata forms fees)
Please advise.

I filed for my mother. The problem is her name on the my birth certificate is different then on her official name. Basically she has her name and then an alias name. On the birth certificate they used alias name. Now the officer is asking for additional documents support to provide for name change. There is no official court record to show the name change, how do I show the proof of this?

Got the approved notice in the mail, yet no one word on the other application.....
Hi Lomeshp,I had the same situation. I sent two separate petitions for my parents (in separate postage-paid envelopes). Their USCIS case numbers were consecutive as well.
I received my dad's approval notice in the mail on a Friday and my mom's approval notice 3 days later. Both notices had the same approval date though
Think positive, you'll probably get your other parent's appoval notice tomorrow or Wednesday!!!
Good luck!!!

There is nothing you can do. USCIS will not hold both until they can approve both. What you can do is once the approved I-130 has got to the NVC and a case number has been issued you can speak to a officer and explain you wish to wait for the other approval before you act on the the 1st case. That way both cases will go through NVC together and your parents will get there interview together.
Thanks! I hope they approve soon. What kind of mess is this?
