  1. hi, I am muslim and for the person who said that they charged her at a mosque to get married, they are not suppose to charge you its suppose to be free at charge because the imam is suppose to be doing it for Allah not for us so that imam was wrong for charging. My husband and I got married at a mosque for free and even gave us a certificate for when we go to saudi arabia for hajj for free. And also you do have to be fully covered when you go to the mosque wearing hijab and covered and oh yeah also you will need a wally if your father is not muslim then he cannot be your wally, your wally must be a father figure and must be muslim but dont worry if you dont have this even the imam can do this for you or someone from the mosque and dont let them charge you for it because its suppose to be free

goodluck and i hope you guys have a great wedding and may allah bless your marriage.

  2. Hello everyone, I have a question well actually I have two :) ok so my husband got here the end of September of this year and we are getting ready to file AOS. One of the questions on form I-485 asks for the visa number I thought it was the one in red ink printed on the visa on the lower right but others have told me that I am incorrect so can someone please tell me which one is the visa number? and also the the second question is that they ask for A# for those of you whos fiance came in through JFK POE and got their passport stamped with EAD, did they write a number next to the stamp? and if so is that number the A#? some people have said they dont give him an A# untill after adjustment of status and some have told me that its the one behind the I-94 next to the EAD stamp ughhhh im going nuts here

    Thanks in Advance

  3. Hello I forgot to ask this question on my previous posting.

I would like to ask those who did K-1 if your husbands or wifes needed to see a civil surgeon even if they had a medical exam in their country before coming to USA and also what is the approx price to see a civil surgeon? and did your wife or husband need extra vaccinations other than the ones they got prior to coming to the USA?

    Thanks in advance :)

  4. Just wanted to share with you that my hubby is finally home  he got here wednesday and we just got married friday, and I would like to say to all that are at the begining of this process that it is a very hard process and the waiting is the worst BUT its very worth it  my husband and I are so happy, and it just seems like a dream, I was worried that he would not like American food or my Mexican food or any food here in USA but turns out that he lovesssss the food here and he loves the area I live in and I even took him to the mosque and he met other moroccans and muslims and made friends and we plan to go every week.

He said that they treated him very nice at JFK POE and they stamped his passport with the EAD. My family absolutely loves him.

My husband and I would like to wish everyone on here goodluck with their journey (he is sitting right next to me now lol) :star: and now we shall get started with the second part of this journey.

  6. Hello Everyone,

My hubby is finally coming home tomorrow  and the POE will be JFK and I was Wondering for those of you who used JFK as POE if the experience was bad or good, if they were treated harshly or not, if its a long process or a short one, or does it just depend? Does coming from an islamic country make it worst?

Thank You So Much Ahead Of Time :)

  7. Hello, If your fiances brother and sister both did k-1 this could of also been the help for a denial because I do know that those are red flags and maybe it was that along with a combination of other things like the answers he gave etc. sometimes the co's just try to find any reason for denial.

GoodLuck and I hope everything goes well. :)

  8. Hello, I went to Morocco May of 2009 and I didnt file the petition untill March 2010 and we had our interview in July of 2010 and we were approved so it all depends on the reason and by you saying that your wife lost her job I think that is a very good reason, they did ask my fiance this question about why havent i gone to visit him in a long time and he gave her the reason and proof of that reason so just be sure to know what you will answer if they happen to ask you that question and also you will need a co sponsor if she does not work and does not have enough income If you already have one than I dont think you have anything to worry about there are many people with the same problem and they get approved :) goodluck.

  9. Hello, I do think that you should have got your first NOA, Im not sure if you sent it priority or express mail but even if you sent it just regular I think you should of got something by now. They did just change the locations to where you send the petitions to, now its dallas so maybe for this reason its possilbe that its taking a while, hopefully its just that. I really hope that you hear something from them soon, and I would keep calling USCIS to keep checking on it. I know its hard to be patient during this whole K-1 process.

    Goodluck
