  1. I married my husband in 2010, he has his citizenship, and since his arrival I stopped working and he is providing for us 100%, He was working and going to school at the same time just to take care of us and we are currently trying to conceive and alhamdulilah we are very close to purchasing our first home together. I know men in morocco have a bad rep but not all of them are the same, my husband is a hard worker and I just couldn't ask for more. Wish everyone the best of luck.

  2. I think that is a good thing and it can definitely help your case. I am a revert and I took my shahada before meeting my husband and we also met on a muslim website and when he went to his interview in casablanca back in 2010 the person who interviewed him asked him many questions about that topic and said that it was a good thing that we both share the same religion, having more in common is always a good thing. good luck

  3. Hi there,

It might sound like a stupid question sorry but Im having trouble with the bottom of this page of the G-1145 its asking for applicant/petitioner full first name do I only have to put my husbands name there he is the applicant. It has a slash so I wasnt sure if it was asking for both our names or just his.

    Thanks in advance

  4. Hi,

Its always best to send copies only just in case originals get lost then you will have no proof at all and they do not return anything back to you because my husband gave them some original proofs like cards and letters that I had sent to him for example and they would not return anything that he submitted to them. Good luck through your journey and I hope all goes great.

  5. ...to henia, u said many bad things about Morocco and Moroccans, and u want us to get rid of our king.First of all before u open ur mouth and talk smack about our king, talk about ur boutaflika and the few military generals who govern the country, they give u freedom of speech, human rights, and a nice life ????? i dont think so.we have a young king hwo is doing alot of political reform, yes we do have many bad people in the government, I personaly hate them and i want them in jail because i love my country and my people, but the king is doing his best.

U also said one funny thing, that Moroccans go to algeria to find jobs, lol well i think its the opposite, all u have to do is go to the city of oujda in the border, and u will see how many algerians are there doing jobs that moroccans dont want to do.im not against algerians,i respect them , and i do know that bad and good people are everywhere, i just want u to get the facts and not open ur mouth with stupid things.finaly, ur making it look like if algeria is the paradise of freedom,i was wondring why algerians are not allowed to go to the streets and do the same as many other arab countries?? why does the algerian government support 100% the libian regime??

if u are proud to be algerian, good for u,me too im proud to be moroccan and i dont want u to talk ####### about my country-simple as that-

  6. Hi, Im sorry to hear about your story. I think your health is #1 and no one should be with a person that treats them bad. I know its hard and its not easy but you need to put yourself and your daughter first and do what is best for both of you. I hope everything works out for you.

  7. Hello everyone, I am so excited, today I got an email from USCIS saying that my husband was approved and that we should be receiving his green card in 30 days. I just have a question, ok well first of all we applied Dec 29, 2010 for adjustment of status (he came here on a k-1) and we were expecting his ead first but instead we got approved for green card which is great without an interview or anything it took just 2 months after applying for him to get approved. My question is so does this mean the EAD is useless now?

  8. my husband came on a k-1 visa sept 2010. His port of entry was JFK and he waiting about 20 minutes in line, he then gave the officer the brown envelope given to him at the consulate and the officer went through it page by page then he got finger prints done. The officer took his passport and all papers and took my husband to a small room and waited about 15 minutes untill they returned his passport stamped back to him and the officer told my husband he can go pick up his luggage and he was free to go.

  9. Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if there's a timeframe for getting a RFE. I sent Adjustment of Status packet (my husband is here on K-1) on December 29, 2010. Our case since then has been transfered to California Service Center and my husband had Biometrics yesterday. Would we have had a RFE by now? or Can we get an RFE at anytime?

    Thanks in advance

  10. Hello to all,

So today I got a notice from USCIS (notice type: Transfer Notice) and it says that our application for Adjustment of status has been transfered to california service center to speed up process, so my first question is does everyone's case get transfered? and my second question is why is this notice for our AOS application and not for the EAD application it only mentions our case number for AOS not EAD case number is this because EAD cases do not get transfered?. has this happened to anyone else? thanks ahead of time. :)

Hello, I know It might sound like a dumb question but I am really confused about a part on the I-485 form, ok so my husband is here on a k-1 visa and I am the us citizen and on the I-485 it asks him for the name of his spouse it says family name of spouse so do i put my family name which is my maiden name or do I put my new married name?

    Thanks in advance
