Hello - seen conflicting advise regarding ROC and sending copy of mortgage with both names. I have choosen not to add my husbands name to mortgage due to banks complications having this done. We have several other supporting documentation proving we are married and living as husband and wife. Someone said it is a MUST to have mortage in both names. We plan on filing ROC later this week, please help clear up confusion.

My husband is returning home next week for a visit with his family. He received his green card the end of June 2011. Are there any potential issues he should be concerned about with re-entry to the US? What travel documents do you advise he brings? And when he returns does he use the US residence line? (I had to asked)

I believe my husband paid courier by card as well. It took about 2 weeks to receive visa and passport returned. Remember do not open brown envelope. This must be given to officers at POE. My husband also enter POE in Chicago with no problems. He said he spent about 10 mins with officer and was picking his bags up the same time as others on his flight. Again, every entry is different. No need to be nervous at interview or POE. You will do just fine...

Hi - just wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for AOS interview in Detroit? Was the office hard to find? How long does interview normally take?

Our is very straight forward with no complications and we still had an interview scheduled for June 20th. I really think it is a random call. Were not really worried about interview since we know we are a couple and have supporting evidence. Just not looking forward to the long drive to Detroit. Ugg.

I agree. We went to our scheduled bio appt and exactly one week later we had our interview appt letter.

Thank you both. I was thinking about this last night and I remember we didn't get our NOA1 for one of our AOS applications. So when checking into old notes, you can almost guess which NOA1 we didn't receive via the mail... Yep our EAD application. So given that I bet they are mailing somewhere else. I checked the copy of our EAD application and it has our correct mailing address to. Weird. I will take your advise and just wait for the interview. Hopefully he will have his green card with in one month anyway. Thanks so much Debbie

Today I visited the USCIS website when checking on case updates and noticed on May 31st they mailed my husbands approval for Travel Parole. As of yesterday we still have not received this. Does anyone know how long this might take (snail mail)? We don't have any immediate travel plans and are scheduled for our AOS interview June 20th. Should I investigate or just wait for the AOS interview outcome?

Thanks everyone. After I posted this I thought I would check the USCIS once again and it had an update that they sent a letter for a June 20th interview. So hopefully when I get home today we will have this in the mail.

it was 3-1/2 months from when our packet 3 was sent and our interview date. Embassy gave us 5-6 weeks notice before the scheduled interview date. Best wishes

so you received notification via text/mail that it was transferred? And was this after your biometrics appt? Sorry I'm just a little confused. Appreciate your help.
