  1. Ok thanks. I have gotten my w2 for 2010, and also my co-sponsor just in case. I do make over the poverty level but I'm using a co-sponsor just in case. I have gotten tax transcripts for the past 3 years for my co-sponsor and for 2007 for me since I didn't work in 2008 and 2009 because of school.

I heard of you send tax transcripts you don't need w2. I that true?

  2. Hey,

I have a question about the employment letter. The first one I have isn't really in the form that I have seen. By that I mean it just states my start date, job title, monthly and annual salary, and my first paycheck date. The second letter I have is more of the letter type but the difference is that it doesn't show my annual salary. Is it better to send the letter showing my annual salary or is the monthly salary good? Both are signed but I was just curious.

  3. Hey everyone,

I don't know how many of you met your fiance like me online, but my thoughts about it is that I first met my fiance in 2008 on a site called friendster which is similar to facebook or myspace. So my question about that would be that I have no messages or comments from my fiance when I first created the account or met her on there during 2008. The first comment or message was in 2009. Would it be a problem for the CO to believe that we met there then decided to talk on yahoo messenger which is alot easier? I don't have the chat logs for the previous years in yahoo either because my computer crashed before I could print out the chat logs. Any thoughts on this or advice? I'm just curious because I don't want it to be a problem for the CO to believe but I don't have much proof to show that we met on friendster and decided to talk on yahoo.

  4. Hi everyone,

I have been reading around about the port of entry question on the DS-156 form. I think it's that form. Anyway I was wondering what is the best answer to put there? I had my fiance call the embassy to see what they would like to see on there, but they said they couldn't tell her what to write because it was up to her. I have heard some say write pending status of K-1 visa. Is it better to write an actual date like guess when she would be able to leave depending on the outcome of the interview or write pending K-1 visa? By actual date I mean that we know when our interview date is, so we were thinking of selecting a date maybe 1-2 weeks after the interview if it is passed.

  5. Hey all,

I don't know if anyone has had this problem, but my banks are not able to show how much I have deposited for the previous year. I can ask them to put the day I opened the account and the types of accounts I have and the amount in them, but they can not show how much I have deposited for the year. Is that a problem or should I just use bank statements in that area? I know it asks for the amount deposited, the date opened and the type on the instructions form, but what if it can't be determined because the bank can't figure it out? Is that going to be a problem?

I was also wondering about the AOS. I know it takes the I-864, does that form require the same things that the I-134 require? Is there anything that is different that is needed for the I-864. Just curious because I want to make all the copies I need if its the same as the I-134 for the financial items.

  6. I don't know who exactly is supposed to get the NVC letter me or my fiance who I am petitioning for, but neither of us got it. I was wondering if it is necessary to have at the interview?

  7. Hey everyone,

I had a question about the chat logs that I am going to provide as evidence. Is it ok to block out some words on the chat logs that I submit as evidence? Some of the words are private and I was wondering if we could block out just a few words. If I am able to is it better to use a black marker or white out? Also, on the chat logs, they only show our names, the message, and time and date, is that ok or does it need like a logo of where we talked on?

  8. Hey everyone,

I know its says it asks for original documents for certain things for the K-1 visa. Do the CO end up keeping the original documents or do we get them back? Also, is photo copies of bank statements and tax transcripts ok to use for the interview?

  9. Hey everyone.

I have a question about those 2 transcripts. Which one is the transcript that the embassy likes to see? My dad had ordered the tax account transcript and I have ordered the tax return transcript. I'm not sure exactly which transcript the embassy is looking for. Could someone tell me which is the correct one and the reason behind it?

  10. Hey everyone,

I have been reading and looking at the packet 4. I noticed that it talked about the I-864 form and was wondering if I needed to submit that for the K-1 visa. It didn't say if it was required so I wanted to make sure if it was. I know you need the I-134, but I don't know if the I-864 is required. I was hoping to find out before my fiance schedules her interview.

I also wanted to know about the DS-203 form. It says to take it, but does it have to be filled out before the interview or does my fiance fill it out when the CO tells her to?

  11. Well some of the letters don't have my name in them because she calls me like pet names so that's why I would include envelopes cuz it has my name on the outside. But is the letters that don't have my name but it is to me still ok?

  12. Hey everyone

If I have letters from my fiance where I can't find the envelopes they came in or the name on the outside is not mine, because I was living with my friend for a while, should I sign the letter to prove that I have received it or just not use those letters? What would be the best thing to do for those letters?

  14. Would it matter how much of each there are and what they look like? And by look like I mean mines and my fiancé have like letters not really cards for the first few because the letter we could fit more.
