only for Montreal Darnell, not the whole country.
Here's the info:
IMPORTANT:
The NVC has established a program for the E-Mail/Electronic Processing of immigrant visa applications.
E-Mail/Electronic Processing can reduce immigrant visas processing time substantially. E-Mail/Electronic
Processing is available to a limited number of Embassies/Consulates.
If your case will be processed in:
? Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, you must submit forms and documents electronically via e-mail.
? Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, the first three letters of your case number are MEP, and you are pursuing one of
the following type of visas, you must submit forms and documents electronically via e-mail:
? CR1 Conditional Spouse of United States Citizen
? CR2 Conditional Child of United States Citizen
? IR1 Spouse of United States Citizen
? IR2 Child of United States Citizen
? Guangzhou, China, or Montreal, Canada, you may choose to submit forms and document either
electronically via e-mail or physically via postal mail.
? Any other Embassy/Consulate, you must submit forms and documents physically by postal mail.

No. If the petitioner is the only sponsor you don't need to prove it. check out the AOS instructions in www.travel.state.gov
Here's part of it:
19. Citizenship/Residency
Proof of U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident status is required for joint and substitute sponsors and for relatives of employment-based immigrants who file this form. Petitioning relatives who have already filed proof of their citizenship or immigration status with Forms I-130, Form I-129F, I-600 and I-600A do not need to submit proof of their status with this form.

Yeah... Thank you very much buddy!!
-
But you know the answer: 4-6 weeks. I'll try anyways.
-
Yes. I did. Actually, they sent me the AOS bill via email and the ds3032 form, too (they already knew my email address). So, I sent the choice of agent form and confirm that I want to received the info in my email address. And received the auto response.
-
Yes, I did it already. The AOS bill showed paid in 2 days. But We haven't received the IV bill yet and the DS3032 not accepted yet. That's my concern now. I think they're taking too much time to review emails.
-
guys! nvc is working pretty slow. I paid the aos fee bill 1 week ago, and I emailed the ds3032 the same day. Received the auto response. But nothing new yet. Im working in the aos, now. but would like to send everything together (aos package+iv package).
-
ok, we'll do that. nvc is confusing me
-
Thank you Darnell!! I read it.
-
Im working in my AOS paperwork. I called NVC a few days ago to verify if I can send the package by email and the representative told that is not acceptable by email. However, today I went to the NVC website and the AOS instructions link took me to the fallowing:
*Important Notice
* If you are part of Electronic Processing, please scan and email the form(s), civil documents, and photographs to the NVC Electronic Processing E-mail address. Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case.
* Otherwise, mail the form(s) and supporting documents to the NVC.
I choose to received all the info in my email, so that means I can not send the package by mail? I don't understand.
Here's the link: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html
And also, I have noticed that most of the vj members send the AOS and IV packages using the physical mail. What can I do? Can anybody help me out this?
-
ok, thank you! is good to know that. thanks again for the correction!
-
Congratulations!!!

Even for the NVC you can do it by yourself? you sure? They state the following:
Translation Requirements
All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator that states that the:
* Translation is accurate, and
* Translator is competent to translate
-
You can not do it by yourself anyways. The translations should be made by a legal translator, a person with a license to do it. It's better to spend the necessary and avoid the situation that they reject your documents, or request for additional information or evidence.. So, find out buddy and you'll have a happy and fast process.

Thank you!!
the lingche shortcut confused me a little bit. I thought I've have to send the BC, marriage certificate and photos with the AOS package, too.
-
Hello!! Need some help...
AOS package includes: I-164 (in my particular case, just this one)completed and signed, w-2 (income tax), pay stubs and a photocopy of the sponsor's birth certificate or passport data page.
IV package includes: DS230, beneficiary's birth certificate, marriage certificate, photos... etc..(legal documentation.
Am I correct or missing something? do I have to include something else in the AOS package?
thanks for answering!

Hello everybody!
I need some help. I just received the AOS fee bill and DS3032 like 2 hours ago. I already paid the UD88.00. Now I need to send the DS3032 via email. I can not write over the form they sent me so I have to scan the form and convert it to pdf. How can I do it? Please... We want to email today... Thanks

My reply is missing. We're in the same situation. My case number was assigned on 08/17/2010. And I haven't received any notification from NVC. But we realized that my husband's DOB is incorrect in their systems, so we emailed them a copy of his passport and birth certificate and we're waiting for the correction to add the email address. Well I hope they understand they can send everything to the email address we used for the correction cause we can not have or ask for any information over the phone 'til they fix the DOB. Hopefully they fix it this week.
Let me know if you received something TravellingNomad

Thanks for the link Loto. I'll review it!

Well... I don't trust my lawyer. I really don't know guys. Our case was stuck in USCIS for 2 1/2 years and after we hire the lawyer they finally sent the case to NVC. I supposed he did something but He also asked for more money and I did't like that.
-
Hi everyone! I have a question. Is it true that using a lawyer delays the NVC process? Have you a used a lawyer for your papers?
This is very important, cause We're been waiting for almost 3 years and now that the file reached the NVC we don't want more delay.
Thanks
-
Guys! Question: How did you receive notification from NVC that they received your case and assigned a number to your file? We already have a case number. It was assigned last week. I called NVC to verify that. But the only reason cause we realized that is because my lawyer found out. So, should I received any letter from them, and how long?
NVC translations
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
Hello!
Quick question: When you make the translations for the NVC process, Did you translate everything exactly as shown in the original civil document? Like capital letters, bold letters, underline, etc...
We're working on that and I don't Know if it's necessary to do it like that.
I hope you can answer soon, the ones who did it (translations) by themselves. Thanks a lot!
