This post is just to let you know that we have an open interview and we'll go to the USEMB next Thursday Nov 27th, medical exam done today. I'll pick it up on Wednesday. Im so happy!!!

Thanks Loto!! You know what... Im so nervous and worried cause the mail here in my country is pretty slow. Consulate sent out the letter on 10/06 and I haven't received it yet and I have no way to track it. Im thinking to go to the postal office and see if I can get it by myself.

Hi fellas!!

Today my husband and I called the DOS and then the Immigrant Visa Unit (the one that charge you $7 in your credit card). As you already know Im waiting for the interview date, my case was expedited. When we called the DOS the "visa specialist" says that the consulate already sent us a letter. Then we called the IVU and they confirmed the information. But, the lady says that the letter was sent out on 10/06/2010 and should be received before Nov 6th. Also she told us that we don't have a specific interview date because the appointment is open. That means (according to her) that we can go anytime once we received the letter cause our case was expedited.

Have you hear something like this before? an open appointment?

But, probably yours could take less. I've hear that they have much work in summer. But. Im not sure of that info. Hopefully you'll have it approved in less than 1 week, as Loto said. You have to be prepared to pay $404.00 when they accepted.

Mine took 10 days to be accepted. You can have an idea.

Consulate here in Santo Domingo published the Oct list on Monday. They don't give you much time to get prepared. I hope to received written instructions soon.
