  1. Hello everyone quick question about the ACPO Certifiacte. My fiance is in England and we havent recieved or NOA2 yet but expect it very soon. I have been told it is a good idea to get the police records out of the way now if you can which what I think is the ACPO certifiacte. If I am wrong please correct me. Anyway is this something she would get from a police station and how long does it ushually take to get and how long is it good for? Thank you for your help.

  2. Hmmm for us, we sent in the forms with an expedite request and the cover letter stating why and it had my fiance and his CO's signature. then after we received noa1 we called and ask if they approved our expedite request or not (we were expecting they wouldn't because it wasn't for a deployment, he would just be away and out of reach for three months making it hard to receive any notices especially for RFEs) and they looked it up and said that it was indeed expedited and we should get it soon. they did however send the noa2 to the wrong address as expected (we filed from Fort Benning, GA and put PA as the address on all forms) the noa1 was sent to GA and the noa2 in PA so we were in a panic as we thought the noa2 was lost!!! and it would $350 to replace it. turns out they sent it to his parent's house. so anyway i hope it works out for you guys the way you want it to and Goodluck :)

Thank you very much, I have sent an email explaning the situation. I will also call them when they open to see what the say about it. Hopefully they dont make the same mistake with the NOA2. I hope you enjoy living in the U.S. :)

  3. military helpline can not file an expedition request on your behalf.what i suggest is you contact USCIS,by email so you can be sure that you speak to an immigration officer, ask them if the additional information you put in your I-129f package qualifies you for military expedite,if not,ask them if you can do it now ( im like 90% sure you can request an expedite in the middle of receiving your noa 2,you just have to fax them your evidence).good luck

I wonder what the guy on the phone thought he was doing then? Thats strange, seems to me like this whole process innt very organized. Guess I should expect that by now after all I work for the goverenment. Anways do you know of a good email address so that I coudl do that? Thank you very much for your time.

  6. That is very strange since they were very helpful to us throughout the entire process, and expedited us not for deployment but for training. In any case, I am sure if you send in a request along with a letter from your CO you could still somehow expedite. But then again you are already deployed, but it certainly won't hurt to try. I wish you luck and congrats on being at the end of your deployment, ours is just about to start!

I believe i put in a request with the original I-129F package that stated I was going to be on deployment and what not. Hopefully this still can apply now. I wont know untill the open today as I am going to call them again. When the were helpful to you was everything expedtited very quickly? Dont worry the deployment goes by surprisngly very quick. Just keep yourself bussy. Thanks alot :)

  7. Did you know you were deploying when you applied? You could have filed for an emergency expedite based on your deployment. You should still be able to expedite, but it's not guaranteed because you are already deployed. Most expedite requests for military are approved due to imminent deployment. To expedite, you have to request it in writing, and provide justification as such. Your deployment orders may suffice...but expediting at this stage just to have her here when you return may not work.

    Good luck!

I did know that I was deploying. At the time I didnt know the expedited process was available. However, I did call the military helpling the beggining of this month and they said they still would send a request for it. Which Im hoping the did. I suppose we will see. Im just hoping for the best at this time.

  8. Did you request the expedited process being as your fiance is deployed? I am going to call them again tonight I have been told the whole process can be expedited you just have to call for each step of the process. Im hoping that helps and makes it happen. Its not my R&R its my final return from deployment.

  9. Hello everyone,

I am currently depolyed far east until mid March. I have sent the I-129F package back in August and still have not recieved the notice of action the second time. I have called the military help line and requested a priority look. They were suppposed to send me an email yesterday to give me there decision on that but I never recieved one. My question is if in fact I do get the speedy look or what have you, will it be possible for my finace to recieve her Visa to enter the U.S. by Mid March when I return. Obviously that has been the plan all along but I am starting to realize we are running out of time very quickly and as you can imagine I dont have a whole lot of time to dedicate to this. Would it help if I were to call again? What do you think I should do? Thank you kindly, your help is much appreicated.

  10. I called the military helpline and got my case number and checked online and all. Thank you for the the help I will update my timeline. I requested a expedited approval due to being forward deployed. Do you know if I we can do the same thing for the interview at the embasy? Thank you very much for the the help.

  11. Hello everyone, I am in the military and currently deployed my fiance and I have been waiting now for several months for an interview date. I am due back to the U.S. in mid March and its getting quite close to that now and there is still no contact back from USCIS or anything. Im wondering if there is a certain number that I could call or something to ask what the status is and when abouts it will be that we will get our date and what not. As many of you probably are or were at one time we are getting tired of waiting. Any advice will help alot. Thank you.

  12. Im sure this topic has probably been beat to death but my fiance is moving from England come March and was wondering what the cheapest way to send about three or four boxes or so to the U.S. would be. Any certain companies or websites that you know of please let me know.

Also I found out the fee for the I-129 is 340.00 now as opposed to the 495.00 that I paid two months before it changed. We are still waiting for the date for the interview and I was wondering if I was able to get a refund for the difference if possilbe. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.,

  13. I did recieve the first letter of acion about 3 weeks or so after my check was cashed. So I suppose they are working on it. I guess I could try giving the military hotline a call and let them know whats going on. Hopefully everything will work out within the next month. We shall see. Thank you

  14. Hi everyone. I am currently in the Navy and deployed to Kuwait at the moment. I sent my K-1 package for my fiance late June and she still does not have an appointment. She is currently living in England which is her home country. Now its the beggining of December and I am due to return to the U.S. in March and I would like it if she was able to be there with me. I was wondering if it would make any difference if I were to call and state that I am in the military and currently deployed. Would it speed up the process. I am from California and I believe we are processing through that service center. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

  15. You will probably not have word about an interview until December or so. For the NOA2 approval it takes about 3 months and then your application is sent to the National Visa Center which sends it on to London. Once London gets it they send paperwork for your fiance to fill out and after that is sent back you are put in the queue for an interview.

However, if you are deployed you could possibly qualify for an expedite.

I added a page in the package that states that I am deployed. I dont know how to really apply for an expidite thought. Is this something they would just do anyways without asking or no? Do you think the process will be completed by March thats when I return and I am hoping for her to move to the U.S. then.

  16. You should send your package so that its easy to review. Using a binder is not a good idea, and I have heard of some people just using the big binder clips. I myself (sent over 400 pages of documents and evidence), broke everything out into sections...petition, proof of meeting, and evidence of relationship. I then used different colored sticky notes and tabs to divide each section, and guide them to certain documents without having to dig thru the whole package. If I had more than 1 page for something (i.e. copy of passport, emails, phone records) I stapled them, but did not staple the whole package together.

As for the pet, Im not really sure, I would maybe check with someone in customs or call a local vet and ask them, I'm sure they have some idea on what needs to be done. You could always google "how to bring a pet into the United States" and I'm sure you would get a ton on information from that too.

    Good Luck!! :)

400 pages of evidence? Holly Gesh thats a manual lol. I dont have anything even close to that is that bad?

  17. Hi everyone I have two quick questions if anyone would help it would be greatly appreciated. First what is the best way to send your package. I see it says to have put together where it can easly be taken apart. Is a binder a bad idea? Should you staple it and put it in a folder maybe? Next does anyone know the latest and greatest on information of bringing pets into the U.S.? My finace has a cat in england and wants to bring it when she moves here. I have no idea where to begin with that. Thank you all.

    Chadd B.
