  1. My wife's interview was today... APPROVED!!! She asked about picking up the visa tomorrow but, the Consulate said to wait for approximately 2 weeks to receive it in the mail :( Kind of a bummer because our 1 year wedding anniversary is next week.... but hey, we've waited this long... what's two more weeks, right?

    CONGRATS!!!

    :dance::dance:

    Today when I called the operator I FINALLY found out what was causing the operators to give me different answers each time I called. Apparently the person who reviewed my IV packet with the civil documents put an abbreviation that the operators didn't know about. Either the reviewer misspelled the abbreviation or the operators are not informed of that particular abbreviation. The operator had the guts to tell me that finally. He saw the civil documents in the system so he put one and one together and figured out that my IV packet was reviewed and that there was nothing wrong with it. Now I just need my RFE for the AOS to be reviewed and it has been 3 weeks for that allready.

  2. NVC Nightmare....!

    Got case complete email, sign in fail on payment portal on May 16th.....AVR said case complete and called NVC and talked to an operator who confirmed case complete. Me and my wife were on cloud nine on May 16th.

    May 17th, I called the NVC operator for an interview date. She tells me, after case complete during final documents review, they did not accept what I had submitted for my wife's unavailability of birth certificate and they are sending me an RFE.

    Got the RFE in email and working on it now....!

    RFE after case complete....! Grrrr.......! :bonk:

    wow I'm so sorry about that,,, CC and than an RFE???????? :wow: I'm speechless :o

  3. My wife made 6 photo''s for NVC I know only 2 needed for IV package but the photos are all the same picture.. Do they need 2 different photos or is same picture good??

    They want 2 identical passport photos. Make sure its American passport size photos. Write the beneficiary name, date of birth and NVC number on the back of the photos. Put them in a plastic bag and staple the bag to a blank sheet of paper. That way they cannot lose the pictures. Cause I have heard a lot of stories where they lose them as it falls from the package.

  4. is there anyway a case can be expedited from NVC?

    NVC does expedite but its mostly for medical emergencies. I don't want an expedite but them knowing I could have expideted for USCIS error will maybe make them look into my case sooner.

    Wow, electronic processing kind of sounds like a pain in the ####. If NVC workers were technology literate, I'm sure having all this stuff electronic would be a vast improvement... but considering they don't even know what they are doing when you send in hard copies, it's scary to think how they deal with all these strange "e-mails" from the "internet"...

    (Also wow... I just got censored using the tamest phrase I could think of.)

    :rofl: yeah I know what you mean, you're right, I never thought of that when I applied to EP

  5. I tell ya, It's becoming mind torture! I called again today and this time they tell me they have no record of my DS-260! Augh! At least the last person I talked to acknowledged they had all the documents! It's certainly not a consistent process. They also told me that since the AOS was submitted separate from the DS-260, I would automatically get an RFE for the AOS, but is considered a false RFE since in reality they do have it,,,just needs to get married-up! Clear as mud, huh!? :huh:

    It would just be nice if they could emphatically say that "YES...We have all the necessary documents to process your case and it is still in review"! Unfortunately...I'm stuck in limbo-land not knowing for sure if they have all required details to proceed, Man! Am I ranting...?? Ha ha :o

    I called twice yesterday and got 2 different answers. The first operator told me that my IV documents were there and had been reviewed and it was fine. I was sooo glad to hear that. She said the RFE for the AOS that I had sent on May 2nd was not in the system yet. I said OK I will give them one more week and that was that. Couple of hours later I called again. I apologized to the operator for calling twice in one day and told her how I was getting different answers from operators each time I called. She laughed at that and put me on hold to read all the notes on her screen. She came back 3-4 minutes later and said that nothing was in the system yet. I told her how the last operator told me that the IV documents were reviewed. She was puzzled why the previous operator had told me that. She told me to re e-mail everything again. I asked if I could e-mail a supervisor but she said that is not possible and that every e-mail had to go through nvcelectronic@state.gov. She told me to write and explain my situation in detail and to send it to nvcelectronic@state.gov with the IV packet. So I went ahead and explained everything and wished for my mail to be forwarded to a supervisor. I included both of my packages in the same e-mail. I even explained about my situation with the CSC to TSC transfer and how NVC was made aware of the cases that were suppose to get a fast track through NVC. I just went all out. I went ahead and also forwarded that mail to nvcinquiry@state.gov ATTN: SUPPERVISOR. As I was hoping a human would reply from Serco contractor to my e-mail(s) but to my luck this time I get an auto reply from NVC to both e-mails. Well I hope I get some results in this coming week. I wish I had a supervisors e-mail at NVC to expalin my situation cause I can't get my file across on the phone. So talking to a supervisor on the phone is kind of useless in my case since they can't find the e-mails.

  6. yeah i know and i have no idea why we did it with this stupid money orders.if its 2 weeks, thats fine i thought its gona take more. :bonk: .....peopleeeeeeeeeeeeeeee payin your fee bills online.MONEY ORDERS -SU.KKKKS! :no:

    It takes long cause they at least wait a week after depositing to make sure there is no stop payment issued on the money order. So if you haven't sent the IV payment than I suggest you do it using your bank info.

  7. Does anyone knows how long its taking to show up "PAID" when you sending money with money order.I already sent my AOS 88 $ 10 days ago and still nothing.And im going now to send the IV fee bill and im so stresfull how long its gona take.

    If I am not mistaking money orders take a long time like 2 weeks. Sending electronically is the fastest way (only couple of days). You just have to wait a few more days I'm sorry.

  8. Can you call them and ask them if you can just overnight the packages? I'm just not sure if they have a really good system yet for their electronic sending of documents....idk if that's an option or if it would delay further but i know i sent mine on april 18th and the case was closed may 3rd. Makes you wonder if hardcopy isnt better at times for sure :S sorry for all the trouble :(

    I thought EP would have been faster since it saves time mailing and scanning but I now believe that sending by mail would have been faster. They need more time to be more efficient with EP. Right now since I already started the process, sending them mail is not an option anymore. They already have my AOS and I got an RFE for it that I replied to it on May 2nd. So I need to wait it out.

  9. Thanks everyone, the frustration just keeps building up. And that 20 day waiting BS is nothing but BS. Even though one of my packets that I had sent passed the 20 day mark they just keep telling me that they will have a supervisor to take a look at it. I hope they look at it tomorrow cause I really don't want to wait another weekend of uncertainty. If I don't hear anything tomorrow than I will give NVC one more week to finish up my case and if I don't get a CC than I will contact my congressman. And re-re-re-sending packages are not going to get anywhere if they are not going to look at them!

  10. Hang in there, CaliforniaGuy, they are full of ####### right up to the day you finally get out! I'm pulling for you to get the interview date you've been hoping for!

    Thanks and even if I don't get the interview date in the beginning of July I just want to get out of this NVC blackhole. I saw a nighmare last night. Apparently I had called the NVC AVR in my nightmare and I heard a recording that my petition was denied completely. USCIS apparently had canceled my petiton and I tried talking to a human and the number was out of service and I couldn't get a hold of anyone and was going nuts. I was sooo glad to wake up in the middle of the night lol. And its sooo rare that I wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. This journey is really taking a toll on our lives.

  11. I just called NVC and still nothing yet. I had asked for a supervisor to take a look at my case 2 days ago and nothing is showing up on the system. The operator told me to just resend to be on the safe side. I had sent my supporting documents for the IV on April 18 and I resent it again with a note on May 6 and now he tells me to send it again. For the AOS I had received a checklist and I sent the checklist on May 2 and nothing for that either. I NOW hate NVC!!! :cry2:

  12. Well I guess they really did lose our files. After we got checklists saying they didn't have our files we figured they just hadn't processed them yet, but we called again today and were told they had no record of them and that we should send them again. So, great, I guess that pretty much resets our processing time at NVC and now we get to wait another four weeks to see if they can manage to find our emails and look at them.

    I called yesterday again to check if they have both of the files in their system and to my surprise I found out that the file that I had sent on the 18th was not in the system. Last week they had told me that they had it. The operator asked for a supervisor to take a look at it and for me to call back if I don't hear anything by Friday. I'll call tomorrow as I am starting to become impatient!

    Just got back from embassy, my wife's visa is approved :dance: :dance: :dance::dance:

    Congrats!!

    :dance::dance:

    The same thing happened to me. I had originally sent my AOS package by email on Feb 4 and my IV package on Feb 8. On Feb 25, the operator said they still had not received my packages, so I was told to re-send them as well. I'm thinking it's because I sent them before my optin was accepted. Looking back, I should have re-sent my packages as soon as I got that optin acceptance; it would have saved a week. Anyways, within a week of re-sending the packages, NVC was reviewing them and a week later I had a CC. So hopefully your CC will be soon.

    When you resent both packages a week after optin, did you send them in 1 e-mail or 2 e-mails?

    We have an interview date of June 3rd at 8:00am - Finally!!! Officer at Consulate said she may be able to squeeze us in as early as this Friday(May 20)... if so POE NYC May 27. PS we have been tracking packages via DHL for Cyprus and 3 in the same week, guess which one is ours - the last one :wacko: - should deliver tomorrow morning, cutting it close but we have everything ready to go to interview - I can tell our fellow Cypriots who were shipped out from NVC on the 11th and 12th that your packages have been delivered and confirmed by us... we got a little ahead of ourselves on this one :rofl:

    Congrats!!!

    :dance::dance:

  13. ok guys n gals, sent off all relevant paperwork thismorning via fedex, and the wife is doing likewise tonight, so should both arrive sometime tomorrow,, so i guess its a SIT BACK AND WAIT , again,, think ill go fishing,had enough of waiting. thanks to all who have helped and supported us, and to those who are further along, hope you are with your loved ones ASAP.. keep smiling, :)

    Good luck I hope all goes well.

    Now the operator is telling me that they haven't received the IV package that I had sent on April 18. Last week they had told me that it was in the system. The operator asked for a supervisor to pull it up and to take a look it. I hope the supervisor takes a look at the AOS package that I had sent on May 2nd as well. :wow: this is starting to annoy now!! :ranting:
