  1. Angeli--Of course! We'll get through NVC together. Still no case number for me, they tell me the same thing...but I'll call every day until I get one, ha ha! Good luck!

  2. Thanks--to you too! Congratulations on your "expidite" ;-). And good luck with the last legs of this journey!!!

  3. Hi, and welcome to VJ! Good luck!

  4. Oh! I forgot--I also included 2 personal affidavits--one from my mother in law, one from the friend who introduced us. I've heard of people getting extensive RFEs when they don't send any evidence...then again, some people seem to skate through! I guess the worst that will happen is that if they need it, they'll ask you! Good luck, and keep updating! :-)

  5. Thank you!!! I hope yours comes just as fast! I did include evidence--passport stamps, joint bank statement (BanReservas), statement naming his as beneficiary on my life insurance, and 15 pictures. There might have been more, I'll check when I get home!

  6. Thanks--I just did! Hopefully it makes your estimated date go way down (like, WAY down)!!! ;-)

  7. Hi Indi! Good to see another DR couple on here. Good luck with the process!

  8. Wow, just a couple of weeks now--I'm excited for you! 24 days for me (23 after midnight ;-) )!!!

  9. Thanks Loto, I really do appreciate the positive thoughts!

  10. Hi! I'm sorry, somehow I missed your comment--good to see you on here! Here's hoping it's a smooth process!

  11. Hey! How many days left until you're in the DR (not that you're counting or anything ;-))?

  12. Hey! How many days left until you're in the DR (not that you're counting or anything ;-))?

  13. Ugh, not soon enough! I haven't started the daily countdown yet--it'll just depress me. I'm excited for you, though--it's gonna be awesome! :-)

  14. Hi! Good to see some other DR applicants on here! Good luck with everything--I'll be watching your case with interest ;-). I hope your NOA2 is on its way soon!

  15. I lived in a campo outside of Luperón for a few years, and I went back to visit in January of this year. I stayed with a friend who was living in Imbert at the time, and my (now) husband lived across the street from her and is a good friend of her husband. The rest is history! I've been back three times since then, and now again in November...I can't stay away, and menos ahora...

  16. Ha, cool! Maybe you'll see him--look for the one on the pasola--ha ha ha ;-D. What town is your fiance from? I've never been to Punta Cana, but I've been around the capital way more than I've ever wanted to be :-).

  17. You'll probably go through Imbert on your way to/from Puerto Plata, then--but it's kind of easy to miss! I'm going for Thanksgiving--SOOOOO excited! Not as much travelling as you'll be doing though, just hanging out with the family and at the Texaco, ha ha ha. ;-)

  18. My husband lives and works in Imbert (about halfway between Santiago and Puerto Plata). Not quite, neighbors, eh? Are you going to visit any time soon?

  19. Ugh, seriously! I'm trying to ween myself a little from these forums, since I know it'll be a few months before I hear anything. It's hard though--my mind automatically wanders to visa stuff. Where is your fiance from? My husband is in Imbert.

  20. Saludos! I see we filed right around the same time, so it'll be cool to have a comparison! I'm guessing mine will take longer, but I'll be happy not to worry about AOS/writing them another big fat check once my husband gets here! I'll send him out to get a job instead, ha ha ;-). Good luck! Keep updating!
