I received my EAD/AP card today and expires in July 17, 2012. We plan to travel in October 2012. Now the question is, do i still need to re-apply for advance parole if my temporary green card gets approved before October 2012?

We mailed our AOS packet to Chicago on 28Apr11 via registered mail and the check was cashed 5May11. Then 9 & 10 May, we received 3 NOAs. Biometerics appointment this Friday in Cincinnati.
Our AOS papers have been in a stand still too. Compared to other AOS filers, ours is taking longer. =(

You don't need the CEAC Barcode for scheduling your interview online. I think you went on the wrong site for the application.

Hello,
I'm so sorry for the late reply. If I haven't seen Tahoma's inquiry in my email I would have not seen this thread. Since, we have been blessed with a journey that went so well, I haven't logged in to Visa Journey lately. However, for the issue at hand, I remember having the same problem with our process. A teller from BPI misinformed us about the cost of the visa, and hence we underpaid the our visa fee. We called the embassy several times of our plight and was given different advice each time. However, what we did was we went ahead and schedule our interview anyway. Inside the embassy, before the interview we let them know about our plight. You can pay the difference of your visa fee inside the embassy. The only drawback is that your fiancee might spend longer time to fix the discrepancy. Once everything is paid and solved, your fiancee can go ahead with her interview. Upon entering the embassy, if they try to tell you to come back and pay somewehere else, insist to them that you spoke a representative and you was informed that you can pay inside the embassy. I believe it is in Window X, is the correct window to pay your fees. All in all, the problem you have right now is fixable. Just continue the normal process for the visa, and pay the difference inside the embassy. Good luck and God Bless.

Maybe you can still use your 2009 Income Tax Return?
-
Either will be fine. I would have left the asset section blank but if your income significantly more than required, they'll probably just overlook the asset section.
Thank you pushbrk. I remember you advising me to leave the section blank, but I've already sent the form to my fiancee. Ever since then, it just kinda stayed in the back of my head if it will pose a problem. This is a relief. Thank you for your good help.

Happy New Year to everyone. We're almost at the end of our journey and just preparing the required documents for our scheduled interview. The question is for the I-134 form. My income is no problem and I meet the 125% over the poverty income level. And I have the past 2 income tax return and 6 paystubs and employment letter to support it. However, I also filled out the real estate section if I own any real estate but I forgot to send any proof. The question is would this go against me during the interview, or should I fill another I-134 form leaving the real estate value section blank and overnight the new filled i-134 to my fiancee? Or is it sufficient enough to just present the first filled out form that i did? Please advise.
Thank you.

You would not want to expect too much of those time estimates. Just hang in there.

This is only my own opinion, but like everyone else in this thread I think it would behoove you to just burn bridges with him as if he never came into you life in the first place. It may be harder than actually just saying it, but the relationship is not healthy anymore. Good Luck and God Bless.

thanks for the advice.. are they gonna entertain our concern about k1 processing? do we need to wait for our 5months mark to do the follow up? thank you very much
They may entertain your concern. However, if they try to contact USCIS and you are still within the normal 5 months time frame, they may tell them the same answer that you are going to get, which is you are still within the normal 5 months time frame. However, you can always try. Good Luck and Happy New Year.

It should not take long from now. Wait a few more days.

The previous posts is true. First, both parties MUST be free to marry. Your fiancee in the Philippines must annul her marriage to her ex-husband officially. It is a struggle to annul a marriage in the Philippines because it is not very common there, however, there is a way! I've read many cases here in Visa Journey of which many were able to accomplish everything with what you are doing right now. It may not be quick as you would like it to be, but in the end, you'll be together. Good Luck and Happy New Year!

I personally would not bother with the USCIS web site. It is a big waste of time. I enrolled to receive text and email notification when I first sent my package. The initial dates showed up, but have never changed. I already received my NOA2, but the case status never updates. It just came in the mail. I have seen many post that say the same thing.
This is so true. The website seems to be not updated for some reason. So I just wait for it to come in the mail rather than be anxious checking the website for an update and wait for an email or text.

Exactly right! In applying for K1 Visa normally you would not need the CEAC barcode number which you would find in the DS160 form..... I believe. From what I've read in this forum, I observed that some countries require the DS160 form, but for many it is not required. However, in your case you don't need it and follow YAS's instructions on where to navigate to schedule for an interview online. Good Luck.
Cheers and Happy New Year.

I'm not sure if it the same with you, but normally once you get a notice for an interview date for your visa, you can go ahead and walk in at St. Luke for your medical. Just bring the confirmation letter showing your interview date and other documents for the medical. Oh and don't forget about the fee as well. Good luck and Happy New Year.

Good Luck to all July Filers!!!

Hmmn... from reading this thread.. it seems like it varies from state to state.

If she has lung congestion it may me a problem as they may require sputum test. If her lungs are clear it shouldn't be a problem.
Have her go Tuesday thru Thursday AFTER 12 noon. She'll beat the morning rush then. ALSO people tend to clear up as the day goes on.
Dakine, thank you for the suggestion. Would it be enough time for them to do all the medical exams? Did you go after 12 noon when you took your medical exam? How was the experience and wait time?
Thank you and Happy New Year.

Thank you everyone for your sound advise. Thank you Yasmin for the great link. It was very helpful.

My Fiancee is scheduled to have her medical exam in 2 days, but she is getting a bit of a cold. A little cough and a runny nose.. do you guys recommend her to continue with the medical exam or cancel? Her interview date is in Jan. 7. Should we reschedule our interview to a later date? Any advise is appreciated.
Happy New Year.

Interview For Adjustment of Status
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Posted
Is it possible not to have an interview and get approved for the adjustment of status? Or is it everyone has to go into an interview to be approved for an adjustment of status? A sound advise is much appreciated.
