Thanks Saylin. The online instructions for the AOS packet are six pages, but at the bottom of the first page there is no link for the following pages. There is a link for the next page once you get to page 2, which link is at the top of page 1 (I sound like Paul Harvey) Screwy!! I'm glad I've been reading this site for the past 9 months!

Sent AOS packet today by Fedex from Hong Kong. Then realized I didn't write NVC # on upper right-hand corner of every page! I hope this doesn't cause a delay!
-
We filed the I-130 with my wife using married name. So the NVC has her entered using married name, but my wife's passport is still in her maiden name. She lost her passport just before we got married last June and her application for a new one in Manila was pending while I was there for our wedding.
Does she need to renew her passport showing married name before I can submit IV packet to NVC?

I called NVC Thursday morning (Eastern time) and spoke to an operator. Wow, nothing like talking to USCIS. She was polite and genuinely helpful, but still no NVC # for us.
Has anyone had their file at NVC without ever getting a ship notice from TSC?

Hi Norwood,
10 days after they approved my file I had a notification when they shipped it to NVC, it took 10 days . I'm waiting now for my daughter's notification.
I presume by Friday 18 we will have a case #
OK Thanks, just trying to determine when to start calling NVC.

I wonder if TSC has been updating the case status when they send the case to NVC?
-
Thanks...boy am I glad that's over. I started this back on June 24th...long time ago!

Finally got my approval while I was flying over the Pacific to join my wife!! Now I get to tell her face-to-face in about 2 hours here in Hong Kong!
-
It's really very hard not to be negative and paranoid about TSC. Several people who are not approved yet got touches on the 1st or 2nd of March, then nothing. I find it hard to resist believing they just generated a meaningless touch for us just to keep us quiet!

It's been 19 days since TSC received my RFE response (passport photos). Touched on 3/1 then nothing. C'mon folks at TSC!!!

Did anyone get an approval notice last night?
-
It's Thursday night surely someone will get an approval email!
I can't take this much longer!
-
Nothing...absolutely nothing...from USCIS will ever surprise me again!
-
There's going to be approvals tonight from TSC. I can feel it.
-
Yes at 11h30pmexactly 7 months after NOA1 but it was approved Wed 23
Congrats!! Maybe they're working through the weekend at TSC?
-
Glad to see the approvals!
Taylormadecouple, did you just get your email notification this evening (Sunday)?
-
I'd sure like to see somebody on this thread get an approval tonight! Getting ready to get on Skype with my wife and tell her once again...well didn't here anything this week....maybe next week.
-
It's 9:18 Eastern time here....is it too late for an approval tonight?
-
OMG! I was just typing an email to I-130Inquiries.Tsc@dhs.gov and tried to save as a draft but hit SEND instead!! I hadn't typed anything in the body of the email except "HELLO". This will probably slow me down another week!!!!!
-
I'm still here too. It's been 8 months today since I started this process and still no approved petition.

Book your ticket as early as possible, because it usually becomes more expensive the closer you get to the date of flight.
Delta serves Manila or you can book through an online reservations site for United which will connect to Manila through Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific.
Make sure you create a frequent flier account BEFORE you book your ticket so you can earn miles if you plan on taking future trips. I'm going in March and my flight to Hong Kong is free!

Thanks Saylin for the spreadsheets.
I hope everyone with NOA1's before me gets approved before TSC receives my RFE response and (hopefully) approves mine.

I just got my RFE hardcopy from Texas. All they want are passport photos. I provide photos to the attorney when we submitted the I-130, but he either didn't include them or USCIS lost them.
The RFE says I must return the "gold sheet" with the photos. There is no gold sheet, but there is a white cover sheet. Does anyone know if only the attoreny gets the gold one? Or can I send the white one that was sent to me?
Also, does anyone know if the photos of my wife need to be current? I have some from last August.
-
Yes I got a text at 6:43pm saying my case was updated. Got an email about the RFE.

Can anyone tell me if the NOA2 hardcopy letter is unable to be forwarded? I just got an email saying my notice was returned to TSC. My mail is temporarily forwarded to my parent's house.
