  1. Wow I know that place in Adana! (2nd picture) Kadir just called and said hello to you! We're having hard time with the signal on fone (AGAIN).

Have you met everyone here aside from Kelly & Fatih? (Luckywife)

    We know Melbar,

He had a question about how to contact that Embassy in Ankara as it can be a little confusing and irritating to say the least! We have seen their pic and you are a great couple... good luck to you two and you will be cooking for your Melek very soon!

  2. That is great news ceyhunihal,

I can imagine the pain, I was away from my Hubby for 8 and a half months in 2009 and I thought that I was gonna go crazy, funny how we Ameriturks are for our Darling Husband's! Why did they move petitions from CSC to TSC anyway? I think that caused more of a backlog than if they would have left them alone in the first place BUT we are talking about the Government.....:whistle::whistle:

I hope that you have a great trip and enjoy yourselves when you are there and call wherever your supposed to call like every other day and ask for a real person like a Tier 2 and dont take no for an answer,,, you know what they say... "The squeaky wheel gets the oil"

    P.S.

Where in Turkey are you going?

  3. Ummmm Ummmm this one sounds so good and I am definitely gonna make this one when I get a chance and all of the ingredients.... right now, the Hubby is requesting American Dishes...( I guess he is a glutton for Punishment):rofl::rofl: He is really hungry for a Carl's Jr. $6.00 Burger :star: and the McDonald's and Burger Kings here in Bodrum just don't quite cut it! Thank you Tuana for all of your good recipes and if your Sweetheart is on the thin side as most Male Turks seem to be, he wont be once he is state side!:dance::dance:

  4. That is the instructions for DCF in Turkey and this wonderful Man is already my Hubby, we were married in the states... In Las Vegas over 3 years ago. I am not sure what the "rules" are for Fiances.... does it say on the website that lists all instructions for K-1? I was reading it yesterday and is similar to the instructions for DCF..... If you don't have that let me know and I can try and find it again if you don't already have that in your "box" of Immigration files/links.....:) OR you can e-mail the embassy and get their "OK" and you will be fine. How are things going in your "journey" and did you enjoy your trip and your sweetheart?(L)(L)(L) Where does he live?

  5. As per the instructions that we received from the Embassy in Ankara, "Please note that you must attend the interview together with the US Citizen petitioner" and even if it was not required, I would be there anyway, there in no way that I wouldn't be.... We have been through a lot together (we say "Hell and Back" and that is no lie!) I was told by another VJ member that if you email the Emabssy and ask them if you can attend and get a positive answer (as she did) then you can print that out and take it with you if you as proof.... he he

As for traveling back to the states together, that is the plan. although it would be ideal to have me go ahead and start applying for jobs... we have our house and car already and now it is just a matter of getting a job! I have never had a difficult time in securing employment BUT I have been out for the workforce for almost 3 years now and with the economy the way that it is it may be a different story! My Family is eagerly awaiting and we are looking forward to days together again! We will be searching for a good ticket for the two of us (yes I am frugal) if anyone knows of a GREAT website other than the norm..... anyway I wish all the best for everyone eagerly awaiting their trip to the Great US of A !!!!:dance::dance::dance::dance:

  6. Hey there all you Ameriturks...

I am here.... just busy cooking the Dinner.... he gets hungry once in a while..... I am reading the posts from the "JUST TURKISH FORUM" and that got "SLEEPY" once in a while like we do!

WHat did everyone do this past weekend (L) shhhhh It was Hubby's Birthday.... shhhhhh :luv: and can you believe that it is almost February... and it is really cold here in Bodrum the past 3 days. We just had ONE HECK of a STORM and many places/establishments were flooded... (maybe Turkey needs to work on the Infrastructure just a smidgen) I have never seen such rain in my life!

  7. Hey all you Ameriturks....

Are we all asleep lately, or just buzy little bees? Any news or updates from anyone regarding their process or anything else for that matter....

Lets see so what is everyone doing this fine January weekend....

It rained here in Bodrum last night like I have never seen... :hehe: and the lightening it was electrifying....... Anyway, all kidding aside

Drop by and say Hi and let us know that you are still amongst the living...

    BTW,

I know that we all talked about Ayran and how we either really liked it or really disliked it. The other day while shopping at Metro, We found Ayran flavored with a hint of Mint and Man is it good and very refreshing! :wow:

  9. hello vj.i will get my interview after 3 weeks.. me and my decided to interview together...i called us embassy here in ankara they told me to call them back between 16;00 to 17;00 and i called them that time no one were there answering me ..it was just michane was talking.....can u please help me...how can my wife go with me to usembassy building....i dont know anything about that ....or without calling usembassy can my wife still go with me or no?

    melbar,

I had the same issue when I called the embassy BUT this is what you need to do and then you will get a "live" person.

Call the number which is 0312 455 5555 between 16:00 -17:00 as you already probably know!

You will hear a recording that gives you the option of English or if you want then wait and it will offer the message in Turkish.

There will be a kind of a long message at this point and will say "if you want to speak to someone about an Immigrant visa then press the number that they offer and wait and if it goes to the "machine" it is because they are busy with other callers and you will call back and start the entire procedure again until a "live" person answers! DO NOT give up! I called on a Monday and it took me 15 minutes of calling and calling BUT finally I got a "real" assistant so whatever you do KEEP TRYING! You can only call Monday-Thursday and ALL AMERICAN and TURKISH Hoildays they are closed ( I don't think that there are any TURKISH Hoildays coming up soon BUT you would know better than I would and as far as AMERICAN Holidays the 21st of February is an AMERICAN Holiday which is Washington's Birthday) SO, you have a lot of time to call. Another thing that I would do is to email them as well asking them your question and that way you can print it out and take it with you if they say that both of you can attend the interview together....   You can email them by clicking on this link http://turkey.usembassy.gov/iv-form2.html and completing the information that they ask for and you should receive a response within 5 Business days and if you do not the email the again!

The best advice that I can give you is like I said DO NOT give up.. KEEP CALLING until you actually get a "live" person! If you need anymore help, then just send me a message and Good Luck!
