mailed off my package about a week ago. I'm obsessively checking my bank account/email/snail mail for any sign of activity. it's driving me crazy with the waiting, and I know it's only gonna get worse from here
(lol... I posted in the wrong topic first. will teach me to not jump the gun and read the *whole* topic name first!)

that's so sad. I hope she has a second change of heart and things work out for the best *hugs*

I don't make salary, I'm full time hourly wage... so I figured it would be kinda hard to say: "this" is how much I'm going to make for the year. I figured I would send my fiance a bunch of the most recent paystubs, 3 years worth of tax return transcripts, a letter of employment (I figure working at the same company for 13 steady years lends me some credibility), and like payxibka suggested - join sponsor paperwork to keep in his back pocket should doubts be raised
wow, there were a lot of "I figure"s in there :-P

ty very much for the suggestion.

I know I made above 125%... I'm just making sure I'm not like, cutting it too close, or missing something that someone else might spot. I really want to get this right the first time

I'm getting ready to send my I-129f package, but in the meantime, I'm planning out everything my fiance will need for his interview.
I'm really ####### with numbers, so while I think I have this figured out, I just need someone who knows to tell me 'yeah, you're good to go' or 'ooooh no, you better get some help'.
I live with my parents still, but I pay rent to them, and they do not claim me as dependent on their tax returns. once my fiance gets here, he'll move in with us, get a job, and then we'll move out. according to the stuff I've read, when accounting for household size you only count any spouse, any dependent under 21, any dependents listed on my last tax return, all persons being sponsored on this AOS, or any immigrant dependents previously sponsored.
so, I take that as needing to claim my fiance and myself. I don't need to bother claiming my parents. a household size of 2 is 18,212 for the 125% marker. on my 2009 tax return I made 25,000 (previous years I made slighly more, but due to the economy, hours were cut
)
so, am I good to go? my parents offered to co-sponsor, but I don't want to have them be responsible for my husband should (god forbid) something happen to our marriage.
thanks! <3

been lurking on this since we started researching the journey to K-1 goodness
decided to join so if/when I have a question I can't find the answer to, I'll be set up to ask. I've already found so many answers to questions I didn't even know I had until I saw it answered!
laughing over some of the drama I see here. I've been on many a message board for various causes (even moderated a dance music message board), and it's always the same drama, just over different subjects. nothing here is special in *that* aspect
currently still putting the I-129F package together, so no news there yet. I'm a US citizen (obviously), and my fiance lives in england. we met online playing an MMO called Lineage2
I hated him at first, but he won me over
I look forward to learning more from all of your experiences!
